went here twice because we had so much fun the first time. Extensive list of wines to try by a 2-3 oz pour!

Ate dinner with colleagues from work. We all ordered off the meal combinations where an appetizer, entree and dessert are offered at one price. Shared appetizers and it was very good. Had crusted salmon and this was also excellent as well as the strawberry fritter for dessert. Waiter was outstanding and knew his wines.

This is a good place to eat, relax and have a great bottle of wine. I enjoy going here at night or for happy hour on occassion. The food is always excellent.

At 1700 hours, relized we did not have dinner plans mapped out and we had a play to attend at UMKC - Missouri Rebp. Used the App - Open Table to find a reservation for 1800 hours. We had not tried Tannin before and thought it looked good based on the online menu and of course it was available. At... More

It is possible that we had the restaurant on a bad night. However, I will say that they have an impressive wine list as one might expect a place called Tannins. That being said, that one is marked up 3 to 400%. Not cool. The salads were delicious and good portion sizes. The service was excellent. My wife and I... More

The Wagyu Beef was one of the tastiest burgers that I have had in a while. The quality of everything was very high. The service as excellent and the wine selection had some well known wines and some that are small production and reasonably priced. Definitely worth visiting and consistently busy.

We were in Kansas City for a girls weekend and decided to try Tannin. We chose the pairing option which I highly recommend. I had the 4 course option which included the crab dip, house salad, KC steak and chocolate flourless cake. Each item was wonderful, the wine options were phenomenal and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and made the... More

This was our first visit to see a show at the Sprint center so we didn't know what was in the area. We walked about 3 blocks and saw the Tannin restaurant for a quick bite to eat. We ordered Boulevard Wheat beer and a BLT with salmon sandwich to share. It was served with chips and the sandwich was... More

We live in St Louis where there is absolutely no need to eat at a chain food establishment as there are numerous, award-winning local restaurants. So when we were in Kansas City for a family function and staying at a hotel in the midst of bland, run-of-the-mill eating places, we finally got a night to ourselves and looked for something... A great choice for late night dining or early as well. Nice vibe and decor. Great wine list at fair prices. Wonderful service. Inventive menu, very good but can't say great, but on two visits have not been disappointed. We will return again.
