Browsing places to eat in K.C., I happened upon this relic which you would pass by while walking down the street. As you venture inside, you can see it is a truly classic steak place with years of stories hidden within its walls. The former speakeasy downstairs is a great setting to listen to live music, which we enjoyed throughout... More

Down stairs provided us with excellent dining and great jazz music. A little pricy, but worth it. You must save room for the bread pudding.

We always enjoy The Majestic, one of Kansas City's best kept secrets. We were there again last Friday and all seven of us had great dinners, prime rib was really good. The drinks are old school and fantastic !

I had heard of this place from several individuals in the past, but never took time to actually visit. I'm saddened I waited so long to visit. My friend and I were able to make reservations on the day of for a seat in the jazz area on a Friday night. There are several sections--a dining room upstairs or on... More

Enjoyed our visit with live jazz downstairs and hot steaks off the grill. We had good service and good food. Our 9 year old daughter also thought it was awesome. We will definitely be back. Try the mac and cheese!

We were visiting in Kansas City and wanted a KC steak experience. We got it at the Majestic. This is a classic steak house with old time character. We had steaks at several restaurants while we were in town but the steaks we had at the Majestic were the absolute best. Cooked to perfection! The staff was excellent. We ate... More

Not a BBQ joint, but a steak place and that's not a problem.. Delicious food and great atmosphere. The waiter was super friendly and spent time with our table of 9 talking about the food and the history of the The Majestic. Nightly jazz piano player just made the place that much better. Highly recommend going.

I was in town to hear jazz, and came to hear a trip of piano, clarinet , and bass while I enjoyed dinner in the basement dining room where the music is presented. Delicious steak dinner and creme bruleee, for fairly reasonable prices.

Stopped thru KC to visit our son and his girlfriend, heard about this great steakhouse and live Jazz. We were not disappointed! Awesome atmosphere, super steak, great music, could not have asked for more. Cap, our waiter, was extremely helpful in food, wine, and dessert suggestions.

Thank Michael W

The Majestic Restaurant carries on the Kansas City traditions of great food and great jazz. We serve brunch Saturday and Sunday, lunch Monday-Friday, and dinner seven nights a week. Featuring Kansas City's best dry-aged beef, chops, and seafood and located in the historic Fitzpatrick Saloon building at 10th and Broadway in downtown Kansas City, The Majestic Restaurant offers a true Kansas City dining experience like no other. Enjoy a great steak and fine wine in our main dining room alongside a grand bar dating back to 1910, or have dinner in our lower level jazz club, the site of an actual speakeasy during prohibition, all while listening to some of Kansas City's best jazz musicians seven nights a week. An extensive wine list, creative cocktails by nationally renowned bartender Shawn Moriarty, a list of over 100 whiskeys, and a sinful selection of delectable homemade desserts provide the perfect accompaniment to the meal and the music.
