great variety-open thanksgiving and xmas days

great place, great selection, little more expensive, but it is all you can eat and they have more expensive items like fish, be sure and go hungry. We have gone on xmas day and this year we will go on xmas and thanksgiving day bc they have even more meat on these days plus only place open and cheaper than cooking at home, we have gone about 5 times

Great food on Sunday, great variety, went during wk., but Sunday lunch is the best, a little more cost, but they have more expensive items out like coconut shrimp that they normally do not have out during the cheaper wk. day lunch time

Amazing place to go to eat

Good food and great people working there and the owner are really great people and I will come back . every thing is good but only thing they need change up there blinds for there windows

Shopping Trip

Not a lot of selection of dishes. We were there at lunch, and he buffet was not full of items. Food was ok, but don’t think we will be back.

Lunch after shopping

We decided to go to Kirksville, MO to do some shopping. After we finished, we decided to try a different Chinese restaurant. I wish we had gone somewhere else. The buffet for lunch was $6.99 each. Drink was extra. The buffet has very few items to choose from. The Green beans were cold and soggy. The Sweet an$ Sour chicken was fairly warm, and the sauce was good. The Spring Rolls were the very best I have tried. They were light, and crisp. Fried to a light golden brown. However it’s hard to make a meal on those alone. The Egg Drop Soup was hot and good. The peel and eat shrimp looked very old as it had black on it. Hubby loves shrimp, and he did even want to try it. The ice tea was stale. The waitress was friendly. I don’t think we will be going back.

Its a Chinese Buffet....

This place is what you would expect from a Chinese buffet. Its good but its not the best restaurant in the world. Most people understand what they are getting into when going to a Chinese buffet, some don't I guess when reading other reviews. I went on a Saturday during their seafood selection. The place was crowded but we were seated quickly. The food was hot and plentiful. Regular refills on all the dishes and I didn't need to wait on anything, not even the crab legs. The crab legs were good by the way. The best part were by far the frog legs. They were spiced well and meaty. Well worth the extra few bucks you pay for Saturday. I did not notice anything dirty or unclean. The building is older but things seemed to be wiped down and cleaned up. The bathrooms were also clean. Nothing overly out of order. Overall this is as good as any other decent Chinese buffet. Know what you are getting into before you go and don't expect gourmet Chinese food, because this isn't it.

Awesome buffet.

We were there on a Monday night. Usually these buffets dont have much for seafood during the week. Kings had multiple shrimp dishes and peel and eat shrimp. I didnt have any peel and eat because I didn't see it until I was done. And I was full by then. Really decent buffet for around 12 bucks. Food was really good!

We ate there on seafood night and was charged $13.99 plus drink, the frog legs were good and the crab legs were okay. The rest was just average. They did something really weird by breading the shell on shrimp and deep frying, I have never seen that. When you peeled them all the coating and breading came off. Go during the week and save some money.

This Chinese restaurant has an excellent buffet with lots of choices! The food has always been great and service too. Definitely will be back!

Fast oriental food buffet, usually hot, usually plenty of food, staff is courtesy not much English spoken just a tad pricey $$ ok for that occasional different what am I having for dinner experience, manager is grumpy.

Needs an update

I had visited the King's Buffet years ago and was originally happy to see it was still in business when I arrived in Kirksville. When I entered the place, it was just as I remembered...and for me, that was the issue. It was if I had stepped back in time. The restaurant was showing her age badly and really is in dire need of an update. Although the food was really good with a very wide variety (I highly recommend the frog legs as they are seasoned perfectly), the restaurant's wear and tear look just makes you wonder how sanitary it actually is. The look and feel of an establishment matters to the customer, especially for a restaurant and the diners who patronize it. Unfortunately for me, the King's Buffet felt more like the seven of clubs.

great Chinese

We make it our stop on the way back from the Ozarks for a good meal. They always have different items on the bars, like crab or frog legs(my favorite). The food is hot and tasty and fills you up.They send glasses of ice water with us for the long trip home. Good people! Very nice place to eat!!
