Anytime I went there, the place was hoping with people. Food was traditional Mexican, or I should say some of the dishes were very authentic and some were Americanized. Always a nice time as the pitchers of margaritas were always a great value.

The food isn't super authentic, but it's good and plentiful. Portions are large. Serve is average for a Mexican restaurant, which means the food usually comes out quickly and the servers will refill your beverage, but that's about it.

Tried several times and seems permanently closed. So sorry. One of my favorites. If it were open I would give it a 5. I need a hundred words to say they are closed?

moody waiters. extra friendly initially, then turned sour when they wanted to go home. Food ok. Better than Vista Grande

Food here is typical of every other "Mexican" restaurant you can visit anywhere in the US. Food isn't great, but isn't bad either. Service is lacking but that is the norm. Unfortunately they don't serve Horchata.

Since the new "bypass" was built, some of the local joints are easily overlooked around the Lake of the Ozarks. Tucked away on old highway 54, El Jimador can be passed by without much notice. But if you are hungry and need a transfusion of salsa, don't miss it. Good food at reasonable prices in a friendly, well-decorated setting. Enjoyable... More

I've been coming to this restaurant for a number of years. It's our "regular" place when visiting the Lake - 3-4 times per year. The food is always great, but the drinks are so-so. At this visit the frozen margarita machine was broke, so the server offered to blend the margaritas in the blender---mistake! We asked for them to be... More

Don't order the T bone stake. I don't know how they can slice a bone to less than 3/16 of an inch. This was a joke of a T bone stake. I asked the server for it to be pink in the middle, he looked at me rather funny when I said that. But when the plate arrived I then... More

We have been to several other Mexican restaurants in the area that are way better. The place is too loud for any conversations, the service was non-existent and the food was passable. The same restaurant in Jefferson City is far better.
