I got the meatloaf and mashed potatoes and it was delicious! The potatoes had a tiny bit of garlic in them and were so good! The rolls were soft and flavorful! Definitely coming back!!

If you’re fortunate enough to catch them open, you’ll want to stop. Several comfort foods are available, you can grab a craft beer. More importantly, leave room dor the Serendipity Ice Cream. Quite simply it’s the best ice cream we’ve ever had. We recommend the...butter pecan and the mint chocolate! We prefer a cup rather than taint the product with a cone.More
we stopped here after seeing the fort. the waitress was nice. i ordered the open face and it was great, im glad i got it when i did cause i heard them tell the next table they were out of the beef. wife said the...hamburger was ok but not nothing to talk about. i thought the prices were alittle high.More
My wife and I ate at the Fort Davidson Cafe this past Saturday. We both had the fish tacos, which were surprisingly good - from the taco shell itself, to the fish, to the slaw and spices. We finished off with a chocolate pie, and...once again our expectations were exceeded! The chocolate filling was very flavorful, the crust was moist and the whipped cream topping was a great counterpoint to the chocolate. Our server was excellent and very friendly, and the owner visited with us to tell the story of the restaurant. I will definitely return next time I am in the area~More
I live local and treat myself to a dinner out every couple of weeks. I really try to spend my hard earned money in the county I reside in. This is now the third establishment in our small community that I am making a choice...to not spend my money in. Not one employee was wearing a mask and two literally felt they had to get close to my face. Not cool at all.... Next, their portions are not consistent but the prices stay the same. That's a cook and owner issue!!! Not until I was done eating and had stacked the dishes in front of me did someone bother to stop at my table. When I got to my car and checked to two tickets....the amount I was charged was on one ticket but the ticket for what I thought would be what I ordered was in fact the ticket for the family that was sitting behind me. Poor service......that's on the waitress. Not spending my money in there again and if anyone asks, they'll get an honest opinion.More
I give the appetizers a 7/10, the food portions were good, the taste is a bit bland, so I would have to rate the food about a 7/10 as well. What ruined the experience was how an employee rudely interjected themselves into a pleasant conversation...I was having with a small group at the table behind me. Apparently the staff there doesn't believe a person should have the Freedom to decide for themselves what they choose to allow others to inject into their bodies. Had we not already placed our order I would have walked out. I was looking forward to trying one of their desserts but changed my mind after the way we were treated. I will never recommend them or ever go back.More
SO happy to find this place and it was so good! Everything is homemade! Good prices too! Nice outdoor seating as well.
We visited FDC after a trip to Elephant Rocks, based on the great reviews! It was a beautiful day, so we sat outside on the patio - a lovely spot for lunch. The food was wonderful, the staff were great, and the atmosphere was very...relaxing and family-friendly. You can tell they’ve done some updating in the last few years and the decor both inside and outside is really tastefully done with a lot of charm. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.More
We stopped in on a rainy, cool day. We've been on the road for about a week...so that means a lot of mediocre (or worse) meals. FDC had the most delicious food! We were so pleased...but in addition to the food, our server, Brittany, was...great. Also, Chuck was so helpful. We had no cell service and were needing a motel/hotel as the local ones were full. He went out of his way to call the local BnB and was able to find us a room. The people here (and in this town) have made our visit extra special!More
This restaurant is next to the Fort Davidson Hotel. Decor is nice enough. I had a fried chicken sandwich and my wife had a side salad and hummus with pita bread. We finished with chocolate pie and coconut cream pie. Everything was very good, and...prices were extremely reasonable. Service was very good as well. Servers wore masks. This place is right across the street from the Fort Davidson Historic Site. A great choice for dinner. I should add that they had ice cream available and a variety of baked goods, including brownies. Nice place!More
Great service, great food, great hospitality. Convenient to the motel right next door where we stayed so it was walking distance.
We stopped in for lunch on our way out of the valley and had a great meal. Staff was great, and they had plenty of menu options, all affordable (we went with a grilled chicken sandwich and a gyro). They also had ice cream (eight...flavors by the scoop as you walk in and with meals) and were installing taps for local craft beers while we were there. It was rainy when we went, but it looked like they had plenty of outdoor seating for weekends/summertime. Conveniently located right across from the battlefield, but also had easy parking if you're driving in. We hope to visit again!More
Stopped here for dinner. Had eaten here before and was happy with food and service. I had the fettuccine Alfredo. Pasta was cooked just right. Cream sauce was thick and flavorful. I had a choice of garlic bread or roll. I had the garlic bread...which for me was toasted just right with just the right amount of garlic. Portion was large enough to share. My husband had the fish tacos and thought they were really good. There were two of them. He probably could have eaten three but he shared my fettuccine with me. It took a little time to get our food but Brittany our server kept letting us know how much longer it would be. Actually it only took about 15 minutes which isn’t too bad. They do have outside seating. Servers do wear masks and wipe down tables between customers. I’ll be back and do recommend this place.More
Because of Covid, we have been coming during warm weather to dine outside, but we have also come in with masks and sat as far from others as possible this winter. The waitstaff DO wear masks, and wash tables and clean after each customer, which...is a huge plus. The last three times it just keeps getting worse. I know it is because of the chefs health issues, so we continue to come in, but we are getting tired of so so food. Don't get the french onion soup, which is my favorite. it was like a bowl of salty brown gravy. Terrible. I could not eat it. I told the waitress when she came to the table, but she didn't ask if I wanted something else, or even to take it off the bill....not good ...The green beans are terrible, and my fish was greasy. The fries on several occasions were burnt...I can't wait for the chef to come back....More
Food here is fantastic. Many menu choices. I had a grilled chicken sandwich - nicely seasoned and not dried out at all. - really tasty. Great service. Hand dipped Ice cream. The coconut cream pie was delicious.
