Went for dinner just after a trip to Ireland and I loved it. Wished we could've stayed longer to enjoy the music - the music starts later than it does in Ireland and this was a weeknight so we couldn't stay and enjoy but we...More

Not sure if it is too late to have ordered food, but my fish and chips are soaked in oil. My husband got buttermilk chicken tenders and they're moist and chrispy.

Fourth time coming here because it is good and predictable. I have been impressed with the food every time. Because it is a Pub restaurant it can get a little loud and boisterous but it does not disappoint with the food. The corned beef is...More

I've been to Ireland--Dublin specifically. And while I was there, the pubs I went to reminded me of McGurk's. This pub is in a fun part of St. Louis--Soulard. It offers live music and a great authentic feel. In the summer, it's a wonderful venue...More

Okay. This is a great place. Food is top notch. Ambiance is fabulous. Drink menu is fun and features their house beer. The outdoor patio is gorgeous during the warm season. McGuirks's is a uniquely authentic Irish pub in the middle of French Soulard. They...More

I've only been there for lunch and there was no music. I'm sorry I can't help answer your question. Food is amazing, though. Now I'm hungry for their Rueben--beat I've ever eaten.

Description
Established in 1978 as a one room pub house, John D. McGurk’s Irish Pub and Garden has risen to the top of the class among the Irish Pubs in St. Louis. In fact, Esquire Magazine, in its June, 2011 Edition, saluting the best bars in America, chose John D. McGurk’s as its only bar honored in the city of St. Louis. McGurk’s is known throughout the Midwest for its great Irish music, food, drink, and its 10,000 square foot outdoor garden, complete with breathtaking landscaping, a fountain, a waterfall, and two terrific outdoor bars. Inside and out, McGurk’s is nearly 20,000 square feet of pure Irish fun. Irish musicians entertain the patrons nightly, traveling to St. Louis from Galway to Dublin, Cork to Derry. The inside of McGurks is a series of strung together dining rooms and bars. Its brick and wood décor with wonderful Irish artifacts makes one think they are enjoying a pub in Dublin. McGurk’s has become a great place to celebrate special occasions like rehearsal dinners and private banquets. McGurk’s has all the available Irish beer and spirits and serves lunch and dinner seven days a week. In addition to typical pub grub, McGurk’s offers wonderful steaks, assorted fish entrees, pasta specialties, and a delightful rack of lamb. Great food, drink, and entertainment make McGurk’s a memorable stop. We look forward to raising a pint with you upon your next visit. Sláinte!
