Have eaten here in the past, went back due to Ian Froebs review, had the chefs sampler (about $75 pp, ) very disappointed. Food so so, portion size VERY SMALL, and to top it off you were supposed to share with your date. Bill $200...More

Located in an historic building not far from downtown St. Louis, Sidney Street Cafe has been a landmark restaurant for many years. The food is delicious. On our recent visit, we enjoyed the fall squash soup thickened with carrot, making it seem creamy without any...More

We had a good evening here. By itself, the food meal would have made it memorable. All the dishes were delicious. They were also unique and in that way contributed to the fun dining out. Still, they were not over-the-top self consciously trying to be...More

Everything about this place is great. It's located in a charming, historic neighborhood. The bar and dining room were lively without being too loud. Staff was helpful and friendly, creating a good atmosphere. Very delicious, fresh food. Good options for vegetarians. Highly recommended!

We went here with high expectations as this place is a James Beard winner. It did not disappoint. Although we were placed in the back dinning room, that did not make the experience any less. We started with the octopus confit and the sweet breads....More

Third time. Always amazed. We had the 5 course tasting menu. Excellent. The only disappointment: the lobster turnovers were not included. The restaurant is elegant. We sat by the window and looked out at the brick building and the plants that were growing. This is...More

We dropped in after original plans fell through. We were seated right away, even though they were working with reservations. Jason served us and was fantastic. The veal wontons and scallops with halibut were all-time greats! Dessert was a chocolate brownie with fresh ice cream...More
