A southwestern style restaurant in Plaza Frontenac. Very good chips and salsa to start and it get mediocre from there. We had the pick three street tacos platter and it was so-so. Service also was so-so. Upscale but disappointing, just so-so.

This was my second visit to this restaurant. The complementary chips are a tasty, unique blend and the salsa is top notch. I have enjoyed the queso, chicken enchiladas and street tacos and all are delicious. Dinners are served with crisp green salad with yummy dressing. Sides of beans and rice are a cut above any other Mexican places. Margheritas... More

Another great trip to the Canyon Cafe. The chips and salsa are always good. They have multicolored chips, which my son likes, and also home made sweet potato chips that have a touch of sugar. They are very good. I've enjoyed the street tacos in the past. They have about six or seven types to choose from and you are... More

We have eaten here when visiting previously but this visit was awful! From our waiter being somewhat clueless to the other waiter in the area just being so loud and trying to run around like a chicken with his head cut off, it did not give the ambiance of a nice evening out. When I asked for iced tea, I... More

First time I was really disappointed. We use to love going here and have given several gift certificates. Sorry we gave the last couple since we didn't think it was anything special this last time.

One of my favorite Southwest restaurants. I try to go here when I'm in St Louis. Love their chips and salsa. Great tacos and sandwiches. Would love go to go back and try their drinks if I didn't have to drive 2 hours home!

I was here with my coworkers after our last appointment, because the place was literally across the street. Decor was obviously southwest but I thought it seem a bit classier than your standard Mexican/SW decor. The ambiance was wonderful. Like most SW places they provided chips and salsa. The chips had three different kind where were tasty and added a... More

We had a great server who "made the best guacamole"! We were there on national margaritas night and they were good.

I have eaten at Canyon Cafe on numerous occasions, it is always a bustling place with wonderful food and service. I grew up on this type of food having lived in the SW most of my life, let me assure you this is a great menu prepared by a very accomplished chef that reflects Mexican influences interpreted in a modern... Canyon Cafe is where we ate on our first date “way back when,” and we return on a regular basis because of the great food and relaxing time we consistently have there. After a full week at work, I was ready to relax with my better half. When we arrived and saw the wait, we were quickly glad that we... More
