Ok, so we had actually give to Denny's first, but after having sat there for 10 minutes and no service and left.. So we ended up at the Route 66 Diner, and boy was I happy.. They were packed, but they seated us really quickly, had our drinks to us within a few minutes. Within the first 10 minutes we... More

We had a great time at this nostalgic stop. Our waitress, Janice, was a real sweetheart, who gave us plenty of attention. The fried fish, burger and malt were fantastic. My son had a pass from Fort Leonard Wood and absolutely loved the huge portions. Great stop for the night before graduation. Really happy we chose it!

Place was dirty, hardly saw our waitress even though we were one of two families in there. Won't be going back.

If you travel I-44 (the old Hwy 66 route). The diner is a must as a throw back to earlier years. This is a great spot for breakfast and lunch. I had a "real hamburger" one hand made from a beef patty. OMG, I had forgotten how they used to be made. You can't miss it: I-44 and Highway Y,... More

This was listed in a Route 66 guidebook, so of course I had to give it at try. I am glad I did. It is traditional diner, the atmosphere was fun, the waitress was good, and the food was diner. I would suggest giving it a try if for nothing else than the novelty. I suggest giving one of the... More

We were in St. Robert for Army Boot Camp graduation. We stayed at the Super 8 down the street. When we drove by and saw this little shiny silver diner at the top of the hill we just had to stop in! So glad we did! The food was great! We ate breakfast consisting of Biscuits/Gravy, Biscuits/Sausage Gravy, Denver Omlet,... More

My wife and I were in town for our son's graduation at Ft. Leonardwood. We were staying nearby at a B&B, and the owner mentioned that he also had this restaurant. We are glad he mentioned it, because we really enjoyed our visit. The service was really good. They weren't busy when we got there, but it was steadily filling... More

The outside looks neat and you may want to stop for a photo opportunity but do not stop to eat. Service is bad and I think the server and the cook are the same person so while he waits on others your order is burning!
