Located on the corner of Glenstone Ave./Kearney St. in Springfield, Missouri next to the Doubletree Hotel and Glendalough Conference Center, Houlihan’s is an inviting and comfortable space to hang out in our bar or dine on a delicious meal from the scratch kitchen. We stopped in for a light dinner at Houlihan's on Glenstone while staying the night in Springfield. It's conveniently located near many hotels. The service was quick and friendly. I chose the Chicken Asian Chop Chop salad which I really enjoyed. The chicken was cut into small tender pieces, mixed with assorted cut vegetables and coated in peanut ginger dressing. Jicama and crispy noodles were served on the plate to add into the salad. Overall the food was very good and the environment was comfortable and friendly.

Debbie was an excellent server.
She had 20 people come in during the middle of the day when she was the only one in the restaurant.
She was fast, efficient, professional & very pleasant in serving this many people.
Food was hot & fresh when served & Debbie kept the beverages constantly full for everyone.
The whole experience was wonderful & great due mostly to her.
Thank you for a job well done.

Sadly we would like to apologize for not reviewing the Mars' location. (See website locations). Now onward to the Springfield review.
We were finishing a drive to Branson and we like to visit restaurants not found in our home area. We are glad we chose Houlihan's. The location was very convenient right off hwy 60 and we were greeted and seated quickly. Our waitress Bailey showed up promptly and was fantastic throughout our scrumptious meal.
We ordered french onion soup and a Ceasar salad to start, both were great. Ot was the first Ceasar salad I have enjoyed and finished in quite a while. We then had fish and chips, and scallops. Scallops were delicious the fish was just slightly over crisp. We had no room for dessert, but we were tempted. The best recommendation is I would come again. Not the most inexpensive but felt worth the bill of 53.00.

I had a food voucher from delta because of a canceled flight so I called prior to ask if they accept these they said yes. Upon arrival to the restaurant I was not greeted or seated at a table. There were NO signs saying “wait to be seated” so I proceeded to find an empty table and sit. A waitress came over to me after quite a while and asked if I seated myself I said yes. She then got flustered and asked what I wanted (in a rude tone) I told her my order and had to repeat it three times. I waited for over an hour for a salad that I had ordered to go. When The waitress brought me my salad there was no silverware. I then showed her the food voucher and she told me she had “never seen one like that”. She took the voucher and my total was then $0.55 I gave her my card because I was going to tip and pay the left over amount. I then waited an additional 10-15 minutes and when she finally brought back the receipt and silverware my credit card was not with the receipt. I then had to wait another 10-15 minutes for her to come back so I could ask her where my card was. She had left my card in her apron and at this point waiting over an hour and a half for a salad and receiving crappy service I decided not to tip. Well when she came back to give me my card she had realized that I didn’t tip and rudely asked if I needed anything else. I then finally got back to my room and at this point it was really late I opened the salad container to find that my $15 salad didn’t have any salad dressing! At this point I’m livid because this salad was definitely not worth $15 (just spring mix and tomatoes with some chicken) and I did not want to go all the way down there again for the dressing THEY forgot! I called room service and explained and they sent up some ranch. The ranch was in an uncovered cup carried carried by someone not wearing gloves or anything. At this point I basically just went to bed because it was so late.

First off, the server was great! She was friendly and knowledgeable. The food however was not so great. Chicken tenders were overfried and the pasta that came with the shrimp and scallop dishes was over cooked. Strangely, the food was inconsistently hot - the chicken was hot but the Mac and cheese on the same plate was cold. Same with the vegetables that came with the scallops. We had five people at the table and the check was hefty even though none of us felt we had had a good meal.

Based on some of the reviews I was hoping for a better experience. The server was generally attentive but the food wasn't very good. I ordered KC strip with green beans. The steak lacked the typical flavor and was tough. The green beans were terrible. Based on the prices it should be much better.

The food is really sub par! Steaks dry calamari rubbery. The restaurant was closed for awhile you would think they tried to improve but I guess they don't care about the qaulity of food they serve. Oh and if you don't wear a mask under medical conditions you are not allowed in. Even though springfield says a buisness cannot discriminate. Staff was friendly though. Not a isolated incident I am not one that believes one and done method all times my family has ate at Houlihan's the food is really terrible for the money. I would say there steaks are about as good as McDonald's. This is just my families opinion

Booked a table for 8. Arrived at 7:30 for pre drinks. After ordering our drinks we were told by the waitress we had booked the table with a short while before that our table was ready. Took our drinks to the table which we were made to pay for before being nearly dragged to our table that was half hour early. The minute we sat down we was asked what we wanted. We told the server we didn’t know as we didn’t have a menu. She sighed and sulked off, returning to slap a menu on the table in front of us. We came back with water that we didn’t want and told us to be quick with our order. We ordered a soup starter and our main. Our main turned up while we were still eating our starter (complete with thumb in my actual food) and left on the table because ‘it doesn’t take that long to eat soup’. As soon as we had finished our soup we went onto our main without any break so it wasn’t too cold. 4 forks in an our waitress called Heaven was asking ‘what dessert will you be ordering’, I said I’d like to eat my main first and she was gone. The minute our fork went down from our half eaten dinner (to rest and take a drink) we were given the bill. The place wasn’t busy and we found that we were obviously not welcome. We paid, tipped the basic (we’re not rude) and left. You could say this was probably the worst service we have had in a long time. We left the restaurant at 8:10. 40 minutes after walking through the doors. Not so much Heaven, more hell.

Greeted right away for my lunch visit. Told to seat myself which I did, waited a few minutes for server to acknowledge me and offer me a menu.
She came back and took drink order and then took my order.
Ordered a chicken sandwich with fries and baked potato soup. She didn’t ask if I wanted the grilled or fried chicken, wanted grilled, am waiting to see what she entered.
Incorrect soup arrived, was presented with Mexican tortilla soup which I pushed aside, she returned with my soup after the other diner after putting her spoon in it realized the mistake. Instead of getting new soups she just left each of us the original. She mentioned the soup was made about 45 minutes ago and might not be hot, if she knew that why did it even come out? Soup was lukewarm and watery, potatoes were also on crunchy side.
I noticed manager walking around, might have been nice if she was table touching, checking if the guests were satisfied.
I’m assuming she neglected to put my sandwich order in cause the wait was very long.
Temperature and cleanliness was nice, music was at a good level.
Still waiting on sandwich, that’s what prompted me to write review. Also answered several work emails while waiting.
Eventually arrived fries were good, burger not so good. Chicken was grilled, way overcooked and resulted in rubbery chicken I didn’t eat, ate the cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato.
Server didn’t come to check on me or meal. I self paid and left.

Their salmon was phenomenal. The perfect serving size and well-seasoned. Mashed potatoes had a wonderful taste and consistency. For a nominal surcharge, I substituted the vegetable with a cup of fresh fruit. It had strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. Fantastic! Usually sides of fruit in restaurants have the cheap stuff. Service was friendly and flawless.

Great service and we were very pleased with the food. We both decided to choose from the fix price menu and got the spinach dip and tuna for an appetizer. Meatloaf and Fish and Chips for dinner, and the butter cake and cheesecake for dessert. We boxed the desserts because we were stuffed but both the meatloaf and fish and chips were amazing. The dill sauce that came with the fish was amazing and the fries were hot and crispy. The red wine sauce that was over the meatloaf was delicious. The spinach dip was not my favorite but it was fine and tasted like any other restaurant’s dip. The tuna had a great flavor and is a must have if you like it. Great place overall and I would definitely recommend

We loved everything apart from too much salt spoiling the rice. As an apology we were given a free dessert and were glad of a little ice cream after the salt. However the steak and wedge salad was brilliant as were the scallops and as to the mushrooms - totally wonderful! Make sure you order a double portion before 6.00 (the end of happy hour, we didn't know they had a happy hour...) I found this place on the trip-adviser with some great comments so it made a change for us to try it out. We'll be back!

Arrived at 7:00 and wife and I were seated promptly. 15 minutes later and no waitress visit, I was about to order delivery from the restaurant online and have it sent to our table in the restaurant when one of the staff came by and said we were at a table with no waitress assigned to it. She said it would be a minute but they would find someone to wait on us. The waitress assigned was nice given our frustration and I did my best to be polite and respectful. The food was just ok. Wife ordered a burger, well done, with chips and salsa. I orders the seared scallops. Her burger was medium at best. The salsa was good but the chips were crunchuy and a little gummy. Probably a bit old and stale as they were not greasy. My scallops showed no sign of searing and had no brown coloring at all on either side. They were at least cooked but not sure how they were prepared with no browning at all. We have been to other Houlihan’s and they were really good. This one was not good to us and we will make a different choice next time.

I have stopped here a few different times for a casual business lunch, some business talk but not a full blown lunch meeting. I always enjoy the Houlihan's Burger and their french fries, they cook the burger to perfection. Also, if you want an appetizer, their firecracker shrimp is amazing.
I highly recommend for lunch, I have not had dinner there but I am assuming it is also great.

Great for business or Pleasure. I really enjoy Houlihans, I have never had a bad meal here, and all of my friends and clients also really like it. They have a good selection and wide range of fresh choices. I have to give Tara our last waitress 2 thumbs up, she was great, but like I said, I have never had a bad meal here.
