My wife and our 2 adult children had lunch here a couple of weeks ago. The food was very good but the service was excellent.

We went for lunch on 2/13. It was not busy, but the service, while initially prompt, was almost non-existent. I had the Seafood taco and enchilada (Mario), and was disappointed. The "seafood" was the imitation crab found at the supermarket. My husband had the shredded beef deep fried burrito (Sergio). He liked it but thought it was very salty. Portions... More
My friends invited me to their favorite Mexican Restaurant, Maria's! They told me about the fried tacos so I ordered them and a cheese quesadilla. Both were excellent. The fried taco was crispy and light and the quesadilla was yummy. Our server, a lovely young lady, was very accommodating and prompt. I will definitely go again!
Great Mexican restaurant with all the favorites as well as some unique features on the menu. Their selections of margaritas exceeds any I've seen elsewhere. The quality was exceptional and the service provided by our waitress Kailee was superior. Great atmosphere lots of smiles, clean, with great food. I would definitely come back to this restaurant on future visits to... More
We love coming to Maria's-the atmosphere is festive, food is delicious and service is great. It can be a little noisy but that's okay. Love their fried fish tacos and their queso dip and salsa are wonderful.
Service was awesome. My jalapeño margarita was tasty but not too spicy. Had them bring me some jalapeños then it became tastier. My spinach & portobello mushrooms was very bland, rice seemed dried, beans were ok. One of the guys ordered guacamole & it was just chopped avocados with chopped tomatoes. Had no flat at all. First time I've ever... More
As the only Mexican eatery downtown Maria's doesn't have much in the way of direct competition when it comes to food. We had the guac, about $4, and the nachos, about $9. Both were okay, the guac at least tasted fresh but the nachos didn't have a lot of flavor other than the jalapenos. Beers were in good supply and... More
I've been here many times. My wife likes the fried, ground beef tacos but they are not as flavorful as other choices like the carnitas. "Spicy" in Springfield usually isn't spicy enough for those of us who enjoy it. They have some decent beers on tap and okay bottle selection. Overall, the menu is not going to let you down.... More
After reading several positive reviews here (and mostly from locals), perhaps my bar was set too high. I ate here with a colleague for a late Wednesday lunch. That too may have played a part in the very average food and service. I was excited to try the fried tacos. I tried a seafood one, just to be different, and... More
