This tearoom is right off the beaten track so you have to go out of your way to visit. It is in the peaceful Melonga Valley and offers excellent fayre and good prices. Linda and I shared a plain and fruit scone and we were not disappointed. They were massive and came with lashings of cream and jam. The tea... More

I regret that this tea room has closed. The food selection was great. Their chicken salad and popovers were so delicious. All the details of the decor were excellent. So many tea rooms are closing which I hate seeing. I ate here in March 2015 before closing and that date isn't included in choices!

Was a great place to take the ladies for tea, unfortunately they are no longer open as far as I know. The building was for sale. Cute Victorian home on the hill

This was my four visit in less than a year. The duet, a combo of chicken salad, quiche, and salad with a popover is my favorite and one that I will miss. Our lovely Tea Room in the Valley is closing for good. The last date with open tables is Tuesday, April 7. Much of their stock will be for... More

Accompanied my wife to the tea room for lunch. She is a regular customer and this is more of a ladies lunch place. That said, I thought the chicken salad in a popover I had was extremely good, can't recall having better, and had great apple pie for desert. All made there daily. Not expensive and I would go back.... More

We had a delightful lunch on Friday at this lovely restaurant. The popovers were yummy, the meal absolutely delicious and the deserts sooo good. We loved the teacups and atmosphere.

August 2 2014. My husband is a very refined man. A special touch was they picked fresh mint from their garden and put it in our water glasses. He was delighted. We both loved all of the entrees fresh and delicious. All the teacups where different and elegant. It is every thing all the other reviews said. Love this hidden... More

Charming tearoom atmosphere and excellent service added to this girl's day out. The food is made fresh daily. "The Duet" featured a sampling of the chicken salad, quiche, a popover and a small salad. It was just right with enough room for desert. There are 4 parking spots in front and more around the back with stairs leading up to... More

The Tea Room in the Valley is a hidden gem. Located in Valley park, MO just off MO 141, this charming restaurant offers an oasis of calm. The house is lovely, the wait staff friendly and very efficient. The food is delicious. I tried the mushroom brie soup...excellent! The dessert cart is very tempting and you can also get almost...
