Although it's closed now, it was pretty bland anyway! Hoping something better goes in this space!! The only thing we enjoyed was live entertainment although it wasn't our style of music

We stopped in around 3 pm for some ice cream and decided to get fries as well. We've been wanting to try it because from the outside it looks like a fun throwback, 50's diner. Although there are SOME decorations that make it feel like that, it is FAR from a 50's diner. Aside from the old 90's country music... More

We ate here on the Family Weekend for University of Central Missouri Service good they do have a disclaimer before you seated that the time it takes to get your food is not the quickest so make sure you enjoy the people you're eating less basically is what I said and that is true it did take quite a long... This place is great for diner food and salad bar and on nights they have live music the place is even more amazing. Afterwards ice cream is a must for the kids! Just the overall ambiance is fantastic.

This is a great place to eat with family. They have great food and there's really something on the menu for everyone.

Had the country-fried steak lunch special and it was tasty and under $10. Menu is not really targeted to the healthy eater. Staff was friendly, responsive, and the food was a good value. Since we were celebrating a family birthday, we got a free piece of pie, too! Not blown away, but the meal hit the spot for me.

My wife and I eat here at least once a week. My favorite is the fish dinner. Large pieces of Cod Fish. Mondays they have a live band. The staff is very friendly. The wait for the food is a little longer than I usually like, but at least I know the food we order is being cooked fresh as... More

Have had better. Just okay. Desperate for ice cream and this was the only one that was close by. Would probably go there again in the same situation but may look a little harder for another ice cream shoppe.

So travelled to Warrensburg this past weekend for an event and looked on TA for a casual place to eat before the evening event. Found the Roundabout which sounded like our kind of place. Very nice location, quaint decor inside, very nice folks to serve you. Menu was diner food which we are all about - immediately I was struck... More

Description
The Roundabout Cafe & Ice Cream Shoppe is a 60's era diner serving a variety of Missouri breakfast options, such as three egg omelets, biscuits and gravy, eggs with ham, bacon, or sausage, home fries, pancakes and French toast that will melt in your mouth. We also feature some great signature items such as our custom cut, hand-breaded, never frozen tenderloins served on grilled Kaiser bun. Our Old Drum dog is a 6 oz beef hot dog, wrapped in bacon, deep fried, then split and filled with shredded cheddar cheese, topped with sauteed onions and served on a grilled poppy seed hot dog bun. Daily Specials are served Monday thru Friday and some of our specials never change, such as; Monday's Meatloaf, Thursday's Fried Chicken, and Friday's hand-breaded Catfish. Our soups are made from scratch as are many of our dishes. We are very proud to serve Central Dairy Ice Cream (from Jefferson City). We are located in Hawthorne Plaza, just West of Carmike 10 Theaters and just North of Wal-Mart. We hope you'll come soon and come back often.
