This location is not the original but the taste is identical. If you haven't been to Amighetti Bakery before you must get a "Special " sandwich. It's their famous Italian sub on their fresh baguette. Wow , I've had hundreds over the years !!!! Get a French baguette to go! 🇺🇸'merica

We finally tried Amighetti's after trying to get into Farotto's and they were too busy and we were in a hurry. Had always heard great things about Amighetti's for years and maybe I just am living in what I had heard in the past, because there was NOTHING special about this place or that made us ever want to return.... Solid option if you want something different than chains. Food is good. Service is ok. You can be in and out over lunch break.

When Amighetti's opened on The Hill decades ago, it was a destination. The crusty Italian bread, with its meats and pickle fillings, featured a unique mayo-based sauce. Even buying a loaf of bread from the tiny bakery was a treat. Now there are other places to buy crusty sandwiches While this outlet on Manchester Rd. is okay, the sandwich doesn't... More

We had a fabulous sandwich at Amighetti's while visiting St Louis. We had the "special" which was big enough to share with my husband. So good! Wish we could get a sandwich like that in Omaha! We will always stop there for a meal when we visit the St Louis area. Give it a try! You will not be disappointed!

This is off the main drag but worth finding. We happened on it while going from one suggested bakery to another. But this was the best Italian bakery we found. The bread was rolls, baguettes and what they called bread ends. The last being baguette dough wrapped around a mixture of garlic and herbs. Yum! There was normal collection of... More

Growing up in STL, we know Amighetti's and at least once, every group must try to reproduce their sandwiches. It always costs MORE and is LESS satisfying. Amighetti's is a treasure that folk pack on the plane for family far away. Actually have only ever eaten their sandwiches, but if they are any indication, all the food would be great... More

We had lunch here recently. A meatball sandwich with meatballs like rubber-how old were the meatballs anyway? A "special" that was ordinary. Very disappointing.

Although I like the new location, I wish they could get an order correct. My husband and I have stopped by to order sandwiches for carry out and maybe half of the time the order is correct. I'm not talking about ordering a crazy modified sandwich - I'm talking about ordering a turkey, lettuce and cheese sandwich. How does that... More

I was going to get 1/2 sandwich, but decided to get a #3. $7 for pasta, salad, and two slices of bread. Portion was large, and I didn't quite eat all the pasta.

Thank Dave W
