My trip was in Sept. 2015 --- Getting from point "A" to point "B" in Montana can take a lot of driving. So when planning this trip I stumbled onto the Pig Races and made reservations (which probably weren't necessary). Food was okay, definitely not a place for vegetarians and the Pig Races were a BLAST. It was fun to... More

Steaks are the feature of the menu ... and they know how to cook um up good! Our group of 6 had 4 steaks and 2 chicken. Their Greek salad isn't like any I've ever had, but was tasty.

We were at the Bear Creek Salon for an evening social. Many of the posts already clearly describe the pig races and how to participate in them. Previous posts are correct that the races are used for local scholarships. Drinks are domestic, microbrew, and well drinks. They are cold and plentiful. The deck and other outdoor seating are around the... More

Food was nothing to rave about, just ok, steaks come with a small side salad and a baked potato. Steaks over priced in my opinion. Pig racing was fun.

The bar opens at 4:00 dinner starts at 5:00 pig races start at 7:00 - make reservations for dinner, get there early ! This fun little place fills up fast on weekends. This is a family friendly place however keep in mind that there are all walks of life enjoying the races, smoking cigars, drinking adult beverages and cursing from... More

For the last at least 13 years we have been coming to Red Lodge with various family and friends. Every time we come, we visit Bearcreek Downs for lots of beer and root beer and the pig races. Because we love it. We tell everyone we know--and that's a lot of everyone's considering the fact that we bring large crews... More

Read about this place in one of the guide books - combine a meal with live pig racing - what a concept. The place was packed and we had to park on the road. Once inside we were shown to a table and the process was explained. If you want to place a bet on the races, it is $2... More
