The Shedhorn Grill may be the most cozy and unique mountain stop you will find in North America. Place has character that is seldom found on major resorts, somewhat reminiscent of what you would find skiing in Europe. Great ambiance, local beers, local stories and no frills.

Skied in the area Jan/Feb 2017 on an extremely cold day, max of 8 degrees F. Our adult daughter needed to warm up in spite of heated gloves and boots. They were not opened for service for another 10 minutes. Very nicely asked if our daughter could just sit inside to warm up. Answer was no, not opened yet. We... More

The Shedhorn Grill was fantastic after skiing Lone Peak. The Bison burger was delicious. I wouldn't leave without a warm cookie.

Really great food at very reasonable prices in a yurt on the backside of the mountain (by the Dakota and Shedhorn lifts). Great atmosphere with the woodstove inside and an expansive deck outside. We went in sunny and squall-y weather and were equally happy with it. Great option when you're skiing that side of the mountain and don't want to... More

It is very good with a place to stop after taking the Liberty Bowl down from the peak. The food is simple but they have beer, soda and energy drinks. It would not have been bad with some more chairs outdoors. The benches were rather icy, and service slow. But a good place to rest.

Wonderful spot in the mountain for a lunch break. Burgers and brats are good. Service is friendly and cheerful. Great spot on a sunny day. T-shirt is worth the purchase.

We only stopped for a beer and a snack but this was a great quirky venue (it's a yurt) and looked to offer some great food for those wishing to eat more heartily. Not accessible from a lot of the mountain though so, from what I could see, you need to be a competent skier to get here. Definitely worth... More

They are known for having the best food on the mountain and at reasonable prices. Wood burning stove is a quick way to warm up and dry out while you eat.

Nothing better than sitting on the deck in the sunshine with a beer and a burger. On a cold day the wood stove is always blazing.

This is a must visit on your trip. Highly recommend the elk brats. The Shedhorn Grill is a yurt with a good sized outdoor deck. Bathroom facilities are limited to a port-o-potty so be prepared. Service is friendly, if a bit slow due to the popularity of the spot. Would definitely go back.
