Have eaten twice so far at the Iron Horse Bar and Grille located directly on the river in Gardiner. This place has a huge deck overlooking the water with plenty of dining space. Also the inside is decorated with so many antiques and odds-and-ends that it's hard to see it all. You must try the Elk Nachos! The portions are... More

This was a fun spot. The decor was really interesting (cowboy / quirky) with a good feel / atmosphere / very laid-back. I had the bison sirloin and it was mouth-watering. Didn't sit out on the patio over the river but that looked like an awesome option for a sunny day!! Recommended.

Really good! Our large group received excellent service and everybody's food was very good. I had the pecan-entrusted trout and it was excellent, I highly recommend it.

We ordered the dry rubbed 30 day aged ribeye at the Iron Horse and it was hands down the best steak we have ever had. It melts in your mouth and is accompanied by a roasted corn on the cob. So good!! We are back for lunch and the hamburger is really good too.

Lovely patio, eclectic interior. NO RV parking, so do your best on the side streets. Dogs not allowed on the patio--bummer. Service is poor--there was a big group that overwhelmed our waiter. Not sure that made much of a difference, though. Menu is limited. I guess the best thing about the place is the eclectic interior and cold beer.

My husband and I spent the night in Gardiner and went here for dinner. The atmosphere is tacky, but we are always more interested in the quality of the food. I frequently order rib steaks when we eat out and this rib steak was hands down the best I have ever eaten! My husband ordered the ribs and said they... More

We are discusted by the food and service. If you like rude staff and burnt food and no ice in your water this is the place. Wash your hands after, they dont clean. Place was dirty! Thet need new management clearly.

This place is a little hard to find but it is worth finding. It is just down from the northern entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Do not let the outside of the place bother you as it is very neat inside! I could not decide between the Bison or Elk burger but decided on the Bison. Dang, this was the... More

A little hard to find, but once found . . . WELL WORTH IT. If in northern part of Yellowstone, it is definitely worth travelling up to Gardiner, MT. Neat little town, with an awesome restaurant.
