We had a good steak. Our table was in a back of the deck near the extra chair storage place. We did see hummingbirds and big horn sheep from the deck. They serve their bottled wine already opened.

We had dinner at the Skalkaho Stekhouse and had a outstanding meal. The flat iron steak we had was well prepared and it was not on the regular menu. It was cook perfect for that cut of meat and had a lot of flavor.

The food is Amazing! It's My favorite place in the area! Great food and the service is wonderful. It's like going home for a good cooked meal. The Salad and Soup Bar is great and in the Summer I love sitting outside and watching all the Hummingbirds that they feed! It's a GREAT place and wonderful owners!

We have been bringing our visiting friends and family here for years now. It's not so far away that it takes too long. But it is just far enough off the hwy. where you can enjoy the scenic drive. Our Steaks are always prepared as ordered and the waitstaff treat you like they care about your experience. Yes we'll be... More

The location is great, view awesome, but pretty cluttered place...food was okay, salad bar fine, but steak I had was overpriced...and nothing fantastic. The waitress was fun and very helpful, but more like being in a home than a restaurant...unique experience for sure...

Our Prime rib, trout, shrimp, vegetables and even appetizer platter were all luke warm at best. Service lacked friendliness, not even a smile. No apology for the cold food.

The restaurant is run more like a home than a business. There's a fair amount of clutter around as you enter (inside and out). The food was mediocre -- at best. The one server was trying to accommodate everyone in the dining room and it was clearly too much for her. The cook came to our table to clarify our... More

We enjoyed our visit. The restaurant was clean the view was exceptional. The 7 miles up the Skalkaho was worth it. The food was good. My husband is disabled. Where we had to part so he could have access to the restaurant needed to be cleaned up.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out in the middle of nowhere! Very friendly staff, I think it was family owned and operated and they might even live right there. The food was very good, I had a NY Strip because they were out of Porterhouse or T-Bone steaks. Salad bar, local brews, everything you would expect to have at a steakhouse. I had stopped... More
