Excellent food and fast service from very well trained wait-staff. One person brought menus and another water almost as soon as we sat down. Our food came quickly, and our water glasses were refilled without asking. Food was plentiful and excellent on the palette. As we finished with plates, they disappeared from the table without interrupting the flow of conversation.... More

I have had prime rib just about everywhere in Nebraska. By far Husker House has the best. You can dress up or down, sit in the main area, the back room, or the bar area. Every time we go there we say we're going to try something new, but we always end up getting prime rib. It's just so good.... More

This steakhouse is not a place we frequent. The food is fine. The menu is pretty basic. The decor is outdated. The tables are very close together and there is no light from the outside world. They bring the food out on wheeled carts for which there is barely enough room to get between the tables. The clientele is usually... More

We could hardly see our food as back of restaurant is so dark & dreary..... If you got money to burn then you can buy 2 dinners so you get enough to eat... The service was very nice, however felt embarrassed for the waitress as they got the big tip for their friendliness not the small amount of average food... More

If you are looking for possibly the best steak you have ever eaten, go to Husker House! You will also get traditional sides and they have a full bar. I would give 5 stars for the food alone, but the restaurant is small so the tables are a bit crowded. That is my one star deduction. Go and rub elbows... More

Hubby had been here three years ago and had what he felt was the best steak ever so had been wanting to come back through Columbus with me and go again. We both had the Jack Daniels Sirloin which is noted as the house specialty. He started with a salad and I started with the soup which was a tomato... More

Prime rib was way over cooked. Redid food but looked the same. Waitress actually told me I didn't know how to order meat correctly for that place. I wanted prime rib med rare. It was tough and cooked all the was through. She said I need to order it rare next time. I said there won't be a next time.... More

We had an impromptu meeting of two coworkers and the owner. Arrived about 7 PM and had a great meal with plenty of time to discuss our plans. Food and service was great and with the boss buying the price was right.
