We've been aware of The Oven restaurants in Lincoln, which we travel thru about once a year, but have never visited one. I'm glad we finally did! We shared the vegetarian thali plate — thali is a selection of different dishes, served in small bowls on a round tray. It was more than enough for two of us, and at... More

My husband and I love the Oven for almost all the entrees. My husband enjoys the lamb. I love the nan and soup.

Stopped here for lunch since this was the only Indian restaurant open for lunch on a Monday. The Mulligatawny soup was very good and warming on a cold day. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Madras and could have sworn I was eating Chicken Tikka Masala since it had a definite coconut taste, I asked the waiter and he swore it... More

I'm very much accustomed to getting food that is mine and mine only. The tables are small and they have a bowl of rice for two people to share (so if you have a table of 5, like in my party, every 2 people share a larger bowl and one person got a single size of rice). It wasn't bad... More

So many people had talked up The Oven that I was really looking forward to treating my sister and husband to dinner here. The atmosphere was nice, spacious, tastefully decorated. The menu was plentiful with lots of vegetarian options. But, unfortunately, the good news stopped there. Our waitress was rude and unfriendly, rushed, and basically threw the food at us.... More

I was back in town a few months back and like usual made one stop at the Oven. I was surprised that after many years the service was still very friendly and the food excellent. There aren't tons of different varieties of food available in Lincoln, but the Oven continues to be an excellent exception.

The Oven is my favorite Indian cuisine restaurant in Lincoln! We have never had a disappointing meal and the ambiance is very subtle and classic with lovely art adorning the dining room. We love the Kabuli Naan bread stuffed with cashews and raisins and mint chutney sauce, Mullagatawny soup and Chicken Pakoras. All are delicious and as we leave, we... More

I live 2 blocks from the Oven East and I eat there often. It has the best Indian food I have ever tasted (and that includes Indian restaurants in NYC, London, and many other major cities. All of their curries are great, but I especially like the Chicken Tikka Madras and the Vegetable Curry (I ask for medium hot on... More

I've lived in communities with lots of Indian restaurant choices, and I have to say that The Oven is right up there. They are consistently great with service and food quality. It's a nice place!

It's good to have a south location, the interior is nicely done with a big ceiling that helps control smell and temps. I have always thought that the original location downtown has the better food, but the convenience plus easy parking make this a logical choice for me.
