The ribs were good, but my son in law didn't like his piece of beef. The kids menu were good. The service was good. We found the room a bit chilly
I really wanted to try Nebraska steak in Nebraska, so on the recommendation of the Marine ROTC folks, I stopped here. I really wasn't hungry and shared a meal. The steak was amazing--tender and delicious. The side dish of Campfire Beans were even better. The bread was warm. The tea was good.
Not a bad place to eat. Picked this restaurant for dinner due to another review that I had read. With four adults we were each able to fill our cravings. They have a good menu from complete dinners to sandwiches. Staff was great. Restaurant clean. I'd eat there again.
The Golden Spur is really, really good. Yummy food/steaks, great service. Everyone is so friendly. It's right off the main highway if you are traveling.
This restaurant is convenient to I-80 and the hotels in that area. However, there is a Denny's right across the street. The food was warm (not hot) and one order was completely wrong. We were the only party in the restaurant so it wasn't like they were rushed.

We were seated in hard benches which made us unhappy to start with. We both started with very good, fresh salads. I ordered the patty melt which was... More
Ogallala is not blessed with a plethora of good restaurnts, but the locally owned Golden Spur Steakhouse is a good choice for dinner. With it's can of peanuts on every table, homemade bread, and cinnamon butter offerings, it kind of reminds me of my favorite Texas Roadhouse chain. My wife raved about the chicken fried steak and I had a... More
We were attracted to the online menu of this establishment. But upon entering at about 5:30 on a Monday, we clearly had made a mistake. My wife and I sat at the bar, and there was one table of two occupied. Suffice to say, this joint ain't up to snuff. The restaurant staff spent most of their time huddled together... More
