This was my second seafood evening at The Kings Head and I visited this time with family. In a beautiful location this small country inn offers the most amazing dining experience. Whilst the restaurant was obviously quite busy this night, the staff had clearly prepared...More

Clearly the food reviews are excellent hence our visit. Unfortunately we didn't get that far. My car bottomed on the entrance to the customer car park on arrival damaging the underside of the vehicle and requiring a breakdown call out. When I highlighted the issue...More

Consistency is what it is all about. Not my words but those of the landlady, Nikki. She really means it. Each year we come back here and very often have the same dishes to eat. Each time seems better than the last; even though we...More

Visited in a large group. Warmly welcomed, all meals served at the same time and all fantastic. Out of our group of fourteen there were no complaints. Fantastic service, will definitely be back.

Turned up without booking but there was space, just as well, best crab risotto I've had in a long time As for the pudding, the taster choice was brilliant. Good service, lovely food, good wine and good beer. What more could you ask!

Just a few miles outside Truro & about 8 miles from St Mawes, deep in the beautiful countryside, you’ll find the Kings Head in the tiny hamlet of Ruan Lanihorne, this is a Country Pub with a warm welcome, great beers and an imaginative menu. Summer evenings on the Terrace, or in the sunken Beer Garden, winter time finds us with roaring log fires......why not come along and see for yourself..
