As we drove past this place, it took us a while to agree to check it out. It looked rather ghost town-like, With a sort of ambulance that made us suburbanites feel less than safe. But we ventured in, greeted by a very friendly young clerk, and a very unique, funky kind of café. They were kind enough to let... More

Stopped here heading to Fallon from Austin and needed sustenance from exploring the old Cold Springs Station ruins. No wimpy beef patties here! And they weren't monster burgers, either. Plenty of fixings and a delicious bun. Fries were straight from the fryer. The eclectic decor is from passers-by. Patches, decals, and dollar bills adorn the walls and ceiling. We searched... More

This is a must stop, must visit kind of place. Very rustic and what you would expect to find in the old west. Saturday night is prime rib night. Call ahead to ensure they reserve you a cut. Cooked to perfection. Highway 50 is as lonely as you make it...or not!

Our family has always loved going to Middle Gate for their hamburgers. It is worth the drive, to share some family time. When you get there you literally are stepping back in time with the hitching posts and all. The people who work there are down to earth and the atmosphere is kind of nostalgic. Come with an appetite because... More

5 stars all the way. 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for the ambiance. 5 star for the location. A must stop place along the loneliest highway. Grab a cold one or stay for a meal. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu.

Headed out to Ichthyosaurs State Park from Fallon, needed driving break, had heard good things about this little stop.... well, it's a great stop! Outstanding burgers, cozy little bar and super friendly staff. Had a burger, fries and a cold beer while watching football and reenergized for the rest of the long trip out to the desert. Interesting décor kept... More

If you're driving down the Lonliest Highway, it's definitely worth a stop in here for a meal. We had burgers which were very good, the atmosphere is fun and it's worth the stop in this historic place.

After reading all the great reviews for this place, being hungry after a couple hours on the road and loving all things Nevada history wise, it was a no brainer to stop here. The place lives up to it's billing. Pulled pork tacos for my husband and a burger for me. Fantastic, Friendly, historical and great food!
