The waitress was super nice. She was handling the entire restaurant alone and did a super job. The fajitas were a bit unusual - chopped beef that had been cooked kind of like bbq but with a lot of chili. The tortillas were very fresh as were the beans.

Chili relleno and sangria are just as. I remembered them. Best around. Relleno is not spicy so don't expect that, but it allows the flavor to stand out even more. Eating here has become one of my favorite traditions when I come to Vegas.

We initially heard about this restaurant after watching VICE - Life Beyond the Vegas Strip, and since we visit the Vegas area pretty regularly we decided to give it a try (I'm local to Los Angeles). From the episode we expected a no-frills restaurant, but after parking in the adjacent lot we were pleasantly surprised with the quaint and comfy... More

Definitely a diamond in the rough! The place is very unassuming from the outside. Expecting the inside to be what a stereotypical Mexican Restaurant looks like, we were genuinely surprised that this place is not what it seems. The service was very good and the food was exceptionally prepared! A new go-to when we crave Mexican food! Two thumbs way... More

This is one of Vegas's best kept secrets. The enchiladas are very delicate with the old country flavor. The fajitas surf and turf are a blend of flavors like no other! This is a must visit for anybody that loves the south flavor.

My husband and I had been watching a documentary on youtube and happened to see this place on it. The following day we were walking around in the area when my husband decided he fancied some Mexican food; we looked on g-maps and a dot popped up with the nearest Mexican. We arrived to find the adorable blue building that... More

Irma has taken an institution (albeit a somewhat run down one) and turned it into a charming bistro. The place is adorable, and the food delicious. Since I am vegan, there are limits as to what I can eat, but the chef, and Irma, always make sure I leave well satisfied. Great prices, great food, and charming.

Went on a Sunday for brunch looking for an authentic experience in Las Vegas. Left three hours later after having made new friends and totally in love with the place. Jose, Irma and James made our visit to El Sombrero one of the highlights of our trip. Food and tequila selection is out-of-this-world. Highly recommend you order the cinnamon-infused sangria... My colleague told me to check out El Sombrero because it "may be the best Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas" but after eating there I think he may have misspoke because this may be the best Mexican restaurant in the world. I've eaten Mexican food all over the USA, various countries in Europe, and, of course, Mexico. The ingredients here... More
