We met some friends here for drinks by the canal. The mojitos were awesome, and the chips and guac also quite good. After we had been there about 30 min and didn't order any food, our server started ignoring us. We had to flag him down to get our check. Great ambiance, but we wish the server was more attentive,... I went hear with my Fiancé the night of our engagement after being in the Grand Canyon for the day. We were expecting great things. We started with some cocktails which we're lovely and then had some nachos for starters which were also good. The waiter who served our table was quite rude. We were right beside the gondola ride... The best mango margaritas and salsa ever! Bartenders Danny and Todd were friendly and efficient. Manager Kathy was knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you for the great service.

My wife and I ate breakfast here and was amazed. It was so fresh and the service was great. The rice was cooked with cilantro and tasted wonderful and full of flavor. They have a mimosa and Bloody Mary bar for breakfast, so who could pass that up!!

Best Mojito in Vegas, in our opinion. We always return here when in town. Staff is always super-friendly and food is tasty and reasonably priced. Depending on your credit card limit (or success at the tables), hitting all the shops in the Grand Canal mall can take all day. Taqueria Canonita is where we stop to give our aching feet... More

I always look forward to visiting this restaurant when in Vegas. Such a nice variety (even though I am stuck on the mushroom tacos!) Great setting to relax and enjoy drinks & food.

We ate lunch here and enjoyed sitting out by the canal watching the gondoliers. The food and drinks were above average and the service was excellent.

We love food- I feel like this restaurant does not. The food was mediocre- the portions very small and the prices were high. They were unable to alter anything- it was like being at a restaurant where they only know how to heat up bags of food. Oh- and they have a love affair with cilantro. Do yourself a favor... More

Had a wonderful and quite relaxing lunch yesterday. Best chips I've ever had, house made from scratch (yeah, it's only a chip but excellent, not greasy). Chicken burrito with a BBQ smoked chipotle sauce rocked. Cilantro rice, outstanding (burrito is easily shared by two). Also Mexican Ceasar Salad with grilled veggies. Outstanding Cadillac Margaretta made with fresh lime sweet and... More

Ate lunch here during our stay at The Venetian. I had the Mole Poblano Pollo. The Mole sauce was quite flavorful. The white meat of the chicken was a bit dry. It came with some roasted vegetables which were tasty. We had a table adjacent to the canal and experienced many gondoliers singing as they rode by. A lovely, pleasant... More

Bringing to mind the authentic taquerias of the legendary marketplaces of Mexico, Chef Donna Willey brings you Canonita. This casual and exciting Mexican dining experience features an authentic, rustic menu of "Mexico-City Soul Food" with delectable tacos, ceviches and mouth watering barbacoa made with savory fire-roasted meats, grilled vegetables and the freshest seafood. Hand-made tortillas, refreshing salsas and fresh-juice Star Margaritas provide guests with an unforgettable "true taste of Mexico." The bustling open-air kitchen adds to the home-style warmth and energy of Canonita as do the patio festoon lighting and umbrellas with lively Salsa and Tejano music. Behind the bar many imported cervezas are featured alongside old-world Sangria and many premium Mexican tequilas, perfect for relaxed sipping.
