Sam Woo BBQ has traditionally been a favorite of many. Late errand and drove by for a quick take out dinner for 5. Good decision, perfect choice. Roast pork, BBQ pork, Roast duck, stir-fried Chinese broccoli and fried rice completed the order and 5 adults eating at a room in a luxurious Las Vegas hotel were made happy! Highly recommended... This Sam Woo does not offer alcohol or Dim Sum (Cerritos and Orange locations in So California do). It was not crowded and the service and food was not as good as the Sam Woo restaurants in Southern California. We had to ask for water whereas in California- water is given.

We took some family members from Hong Kong here twice during a recent visit to LV and were surprised how authentic the fare was. First, it should be explained that when they say "BBQ" in the name here, they refer to a kind of southern (usually Cantonese) Chinese fast food, usually slices of roasted pork, duck or chicken over rice... The BBQ is just like I remember it in Hong Kong. The two item version has plenty of meat. We ordered duck and pork and couldn't finish it. Very tasty, but lots of bones in the duck. We also ordered the spicy, salt calamari. Good but not great....not very spicy and not salty enough, batter was a bit thick. Atmosphere... More

This was my first experience with authentic Chinese. The place was busy, almost everyone Chinese. My vegetarian food was fine, but I prefer the American versions. They like to use this Chinese green spear of something that is too tough to chew. Service was quick. They DID add a $5 tip to the bill without mentioning it, obviously hoping to... More

I came here 5 yrs ago, it's very good. I visited last month, it was terrible. They just want to charge you for the price with poor quality food. They added tips without telling you, I will never come back .

This place sucks. My husband and I went in for lunch at 10:40am today. There weren't many people in the restaurant and the service was quick just like other Chinese restaurant I've been to in Vegas, except that their food sucks here! We ordered roast duck wonton noodles and double BBQ Lo Mien (BBQ duck and pork over noodles with... More

Sam Woo is a good basic Cantonese restaurant with the benefit of Chinese BBQ -- menu is simple with a good selection of noodle & soup dishes along with other standard fare. Prices are very reasonable and they've been there a long time giving testament to their quality among the many, many Asian restaurants in the area

not bad at first... but the food and service are getting worse and worse now, they are CASH ONLY!- that's ridiculous and so convenience. BE CAREFUL when you order TO GO FOOD... because they could be so absent-minded about what you ordered, and if you pick up without checking what's inside, you may be shocked opening the box when you... The best Sam Woo BBQ location is in Alhambra, CA. I went to Alhambra, CA; 20 years ago and this location seems to be the most authentic. To the Las Vegas location, I only went once in an effort to try to avoid the nasty food they serve at the Strip. I ordered Singapore style noodles and I even asked... More
