My family likes the food there and portion is big. All servers seem to be very happy and friendly working there and they make you feel welcomed.

We go at least weekly (Boomtown location) and have never had a bad meal. What made me go to the review was THE PUMPKIN MILKSHAKE! Unbelievably DELICIOUS. I tried one at another restaurant and didn't even come close. They blend with real pumpkin pie at Mel's. The staff are always nice and friendly and management are always walking around ensuring... My second time eating at Mel's, first breakfast though. The breakfast burrito I had was great, my family all enjoyed their breakfasts as well. Decently priced at less than $50 for four of us. Service was a tad slow, but it was 10am on a Sunday and the place was packed!

This location is a diner from the old school, thick malts, great french fries, burgers and more. The 50's-60's ambiance is authentic. Great place to grab a bite.

This was an excellent restaurant that had a number of various breakfasts that I tried. The Ham steaks were unbelievably big and delicious. As was the Monte Crisco.

Good burgers and fries, nice atmosphere just like the old soda shop days. Good service quick to be seated and attentive help.

I tried breakfast on a weekday and was not impressed by the food service or prices. But had a car so I only had to endure this once.

The atmosphere, the food, and the service was wonderful! It is a bit pricey. It used to be that the food was cheaper in gambling towns, but alas, not any longer. 😞. I highly recommend this spot though.

We were staying at the Sands in Reno and got recommended this diner. the food and selection are both great and the staff make you feel like family from the moment you arrive. Finally their meatloaf is superb.
