We ate here both for dinner and for breakfast the next day. The food was very good; the atmosphere is casual and in keeping with the late 1800s style of the host hotel and the service is engagingly smart alecky - The staff knows its stuff and isn't fussy about it, just country charming in a very matter of fact... The Pittman Cafe is located inside the Mizpah hotel and is a good place for dinner as well as breakfast. The staff is friendly and engaging, the portions are large (especially breakfast pancakes) and the food prepared to order. Pricing is well within range for small town USA.

We have dined here at the Pittman Cafe. Food is really good & service is very attentive. Restaurant location is towards the back and is very quiet from the bar slot machine area. Makes it very nice.

The food portions were good and the quality was too. The service was slow and the server either had to be reminded of our requests or forgot them. The upside was she was polite throughout the dining experience.

Last year it was great. This year it was ok. We paid it a couple of visits two weeks apart and both meals were just ok. A steak one night, decent, but nothing special and fish and chips another. Same thing, nothing special. The staff while pretty friendly seems to be a mix of experienced and inexperienced. Not a big... More

After spending one night at the Mizpah Hotel we ate lunch in the Pittman Cafe on the first floor. The breakfast was very good and there were ample choices to choose between. The staff were very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed.

We stopped for lunch on our way through town. This is a quaint hotel with great food & drinks. Take a little time to view the autographs of famous personalities who have visited here.

This is historic, if you believe haunted, classic in so many ways with great good. I make a stop here every time I pass through Tonopha. I remember the years when the Mizpah was closed and I throw in my 2 cents to see that does not happen again. It is a long drive, stop in, get a little rest,... More
