Arrived at the Martin not expecting much at all but was pleasantly surprised. The Basque style restaurant and bar has an unusual and yet very welcoming vibe. The food potions are large with all sorts of unexpected but included soups and sides (almost a meal in themselves); I had lamb chops which were delicious. The large tables are shared with... More

Loved the family style, quaint rooms and great service. The rib eye was cooked perfectly. But mostly loved the folks we were sitting next to....Had a great visit and good dinner! Thank you for the unique experience. Next time we are in town we will stop by.

Apparently Basque food must have lots of garlic in it.... they even have a shaker at each table with salt, pepper and garlic salt in it ! Food was delicious .... loved the family style seating ( we met and chatted with some interesting folks )... generous serving sizes. The only downside to this place is the entry thru a... More

This awesome restaurant (it's not a hotel at all anymore) serves delicious and authentic Basque food. You are seated at long tables with other guests that you can interact with or not depending on your preference. The salad is so good if you're not careful you'll be full before the other stuff arrives. Don't be alarmed, your main entree is... More

This is a traditional basque restaurant. It features good, meat-centric home style cooking in abundant portions, served famlily style. There was great company at our table of strangers. I didn't realize until afterwards that couples could split an entree, which might be useful for people with smaller appetites. Burgundy wine is included with dinner. Full bar available.

We'd read about the food, and were not disappointed. I grew up enjoying Basque food occasionally, so this was a treat to remind my taste buds (garlic, yum!). Husband's lamb fell off the bone, and my pork medallions were tasty and plentiful. Wine was perfect with the food, service was excellent, and we enjoyed meeting new people over dinner. I... More

This place has astounding food. Served Basque style so don't fill up on all the courses you get before the main dish arrives. One of those courses was homemade clam chowder. We bought a large container to take home. We had prime rib that was marvelous. We used to plan our trips through Winnemucca to eat here. We now live... More

Come here if you spend night on a road trip for some good food and friendly service. It's Basque with interesting history and food, for most part, is good and certainly plentiful. House red comes with "family style" meal that includes soup, salad, "sides" and main course as well as dessert of bread pudding which we did not have room... More
