We stayed at the 3 Chimney's Inn for 2 nights midweek and took advantage of the their Grape Escape Package. Included was a $75 GC for F Frost Sawyer Tavern. It was warm out so we decided to eat out on the patio, it was dusk. We were seated quickly and water was poured. Took a while for our waitress... More

Thank you for your valuable feedback regarding your dining experience while staying at the Inn. I will be certain to bring your thoughts on the bread to the Chef's attention and will see that the lighting on the Terrace at dusk is corrected. Your feedback is valuable and greatly appreciated. More

We hadn't been there for a while and now I have to think why we don't go there more often. I had the salmon with a citrus sauce paired with the risotto. It was perfectly cooked and the taste was excellent. My husband had the haddock fish and chips and they gladly substituted the french fries. We started with drinks,... More

This restaurant is in one of oldest houses in New Hampshire. Dining area is worth enjoying in a classic and rustic setting. Food is excellent. Very friendly staff.

We were there for a surprise birthday party. We had a private room, one waitress who was very personable to her memory was amazing. Food was also very good.

This place isn't cheap, but the food is excellent. Has romantic corners, but also good for business. The place can fill up, so better reserve or call ahead. They also have private space for many occasions, including weddings. The associated hotel (Three Chimneys Inn) is certainly the premier place ro reside in Durham, with plenty of New England charm. We were visiting our daughter who is a student at UNH and didn't feel like a student hangout! We stumbled upon this gem, with the help of the Internet of course, and loved it. My husband and I were straight off the skiing slopes and I was still wearing my ski pants. I got a bit nervous as we were... More

We had dinner at the Tavern on a quiet Sunday night. The food was very good and the server was very attentive. If you like very old and rustic type of places that bring back times from years ago this 300+ year old tavern is the place to eat. There are several rooms we ate in the room on the... More

We went here because the online menu stated that they still had the pecan encrusted fried chicken dinner that we had when we were here year ago. I'll start by saying that the staff is absolutely fantastic and the ambiance is perfect. However, the food was not up to par this evening. They did not have the pecan chicken at... More

This is such a unique space and it really deserves to be much better. He food is WAY overpriced and quality is just slightly better than average. The tavern itself is a great space but the decor inside could be changed to reflect a more tavern feel. The bar is cool but too small. Really want to love this place... More

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Tavern! The staff were very efficient and helpful. The food was excellent! Loved the salad with the pita bread! The tenderloin was done perfectly and the crusted haddock was excellent! They have a nice wine selection, a full bar, and some local beer on tap. It was a nice dining experience in an old... More
