The dining room is in an historic inn. The food was delicious. The best dish was the grilled scallops I ordered for my main course. All the food was well prepared and the service was friendly and efficient. We were sorry that the weather was threatening rain or we could have started with cocktails on the patio, enjoying the view... More

This place is a gem! Beautiful setting, with outdoor patio facing the gardens. Nice menu selection featuring fresh ingredients. Garden fresh salads and herbs! Server was attentive and friendly. Will go back!

This was absolutely the BEST real we had during a weeks vacation in the Franconia Notch area. My husband and I both had the corn custard/lobster appetizer as well s the scallop main course. Both were so delicious. The patio was a wonderful place to enjoy the beautiful scenery and wonderful weather. Everything was perfect. The service was exceptional with... More

We stayed at the H&H for my birthday last July on a trip through New England. We found the Inn to be warm, welcoming, friendly. Room was impeccably clean, comfortable, restful. Food in the dining room was delicious. Innkeeper was so personable...we will definitely return. Highly recommend.

We ate dinner hear and the chef had provided a wide variety of food choices. We enjoyed the lamb and snitzel. Plenty of food and the fireplace was a perfect setting for us to finish off a perfect day in Franconia.

Our party of 8 enjoyed a delicious three course dinner - duck, roast beef, pot de crème were out of this world and the service was smooth and well paced.

If you enjoy the simpler times of life where libraries with fireplaces take the place of TV's and cell phones, then make your reservation at the H&H restaurant. The food is high quality and the chef uses locally grown products and home grown spices. We first sat at the bar drinking a local craft brew enjoying the fireplace before dinner.... More

Well you can plan but it doesn't always work out. Planned a lovely dinner for two, booked early evening. Ugh..we were not alone long. Table of 8, in which 4 were children under the age of 8, saddle up near us. We overheard party of 10 that was also booked. This could've been managed better, however it wasn't. The two... More

As a regular in the North Country, this is one of our favorites. Though the menu is small, it is diverse and the food delicious whether the baked cod, the lamb, the schweinschnitzel, the steak with burgundy sauce, the duck or the bay scallops--are all regulars--plus two or three specials. Eat in the large dinning room in ski season, complete... More

Had dinner here recently. Food was very good. Only issue was they did not drain the broccoli enough so plate was watery. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere and service was great. Waiter was friendly and prompt. Would definitely go back.
