This place is a fun visit. Lots to do in good weather. Fire pit, disc golf. Good food, good beer. Ask about the restaurant. The house was move to build the brewery. The tables are made from wood harvested onsite.

I have been to Hayseed quite a few times due to living in the area. Before last night I hated the atmosphere of the restaurant. The old farmhouse gives me a very cold feeling. However, we decided to sit on the outdoor patio for dinner last...More

Mothers day brunch. Located in a renovated farm house. Light and airy atmosphere with nice servers. Ordered the Ribeye with wilted spinach, nicely seasoned. Asked for two overeasy eggs on the side. The meal arrived without the eggs and was told the chef refused the...More

Met some folks here for dinner. The bar was almost full, but the tables were empty and we still couldn’t hear each other. Accoustics are awful ( for conversation). Had schnitzel and spaetzle. The pork was ok, the spaetzle was pan fried and dried out....More

Hayseed, the restaurant at Smuttynose Brewing Company, is located across the parking lot from the main brewery building in Towle Farm's original Victorian-era farmhouse. The restaurant features beer-friendly, farmstyle cuisine from Executive Chef Desmond Smith, prepared with lots of locally-sourced ingredients; more than two dozen taps, including rare Smuttynose and Smuttlabs beers, as well as selected guest beers; cask beers; vintage Big Beer Series bottles; and a seasonal outdoor beer garden & fire pit. Combine a visit to Hayseed with a tour and beer tasting at the brewery, or stop in after a round of disc golf on Towle Farm's nine hole course.
