I grew up with the Puritan that morphed into the Puritan Backroom Restaurant. This is definately a local favorite. Food is consistently good, waitstaff are very busy but attentive and prime time is always crowded, so plan on a wait. But this speaks volumes about...More

I have been going to this restaurant for about 25 years. Not sure, but I think it's been in business for about 50 years. Owned by a Greek and passed down to family. Large place, booths and tables, and a nice bar. They serve mixed...More

Had the 1/2 chicken salad sandwich and the cup of tomato orzo soup. The server was friendly and there was no rush in getting us out which is a welcome relief for a lunch. I had heard about the Puritan before and only been there...More

Consistently good food, is it gourmet? No, but it's decent, homey cooking that won't let you down. Greek salads are the best. I'm no fan of chicken tenders, but the rest of the world loves them.

This place is famous for their chicken fingers and their mudslide drinks. Both are worth the visit individually. Highly recommend trying both.

Perfect restaurant. Plenty of parking, great service, food is over the top and ALWAYS good. Seafood always fresh. Fun place to just hang at the bar and meet other people enjoying one of many different flavored frozen mudslides.

We've stopped at the Backroom for so many different reasons. . . . And the food has always been good, the drinks are great, and the creamees are superb. Give it a try; You won't be disappointed!!

All the chatter about the best chicken isn't bologna, TRUTH. The guys at work were so happy when they saw the huge order platter I brought in after a meeting. We tried 4 kinds of boneless chicken tenders. I really couldn't pick a favorite ,...More

It's a short 10 minutes away. From the SNHU Ctr, drive north on Elm st thru the downtown for a mile or so. Take Right at lights at Webster Street (Rte 3/28). Puritan is on your right in about another mile or so.
