We enjoy the Inn and have only enjoyable times there. Their front porch overlooks Newfound Lake and the sun just sparkles off the lake. The Inn is of a vintage age but is quite lovely. When we go, we will sit on the porch and order drinks and appetizers. Either way, you will not be unhappy. It's quiet and lazy.... More

We're not sure this review was intended for our property as we are on Pleasant Lake, in New London, NH. We do offer a lovely porch with an incredible view over Pleasant Lake and across to Mt. Kearsarge. It is of a vintage age and a stunning place to have dinner, enjoy our afternoon tea, or have a drink from... More

A charming inn, fantastic food. Chef makes a presentation about the menu choices. Quality of the food is outstanding. Tenderloin was delicious and sword fish fresh with a nice sauce. Squash soup was a real hit with everyone. My guests were impressed with the food and enjoyed their meal.

So glad everyone enjoyed their meal and the experience at the Inn. Chef is very fond of cooking "in season" and the squash soup has indeed been very popular. It is just one more way he strives for the freshest experience focused on peak flavors. More

We dined here recently and while we didn't stay here, those who did stay there raved about the inn. As far as the dining was concerned, it was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, the service accommodating, and the food wonderful. We had one dinner of tenderloin and another of scallops. Both were prepared beautifully. The salads were tasty,... More

Went the other night to celebrate our anniversary. Heard they had a new chef. well they do and Brian is an exceptional talent. The filet was one of the best pieces of meat I ever tasted and cooked perfectly. The swordfish was beyond fresh and again cooked perfectly. The sides, salads, and all the flavors accompanying the meals were outstanding.... More

I was invited by friends, who were staying at the Inn, for dinner. I was very excited to eat here since I have had my eye on trying this place before closing up my cottage for the summer. Also, as a restaurant insider working living and eating in Boston restaurants and hotels for over 35 years, I know my way... More

Our dinner was excellent! Meeting the chef, Brian Leary, hearing the details and care he and his team put into making our scrumptious dinner prepared from local farms, was an added bonus. I ordered a white wine spritzer of sorts, which was made with local strawberries. Fabulous!

Enjoyed a lovely birthday dinner with 6 special people! You get a lovely 5 course meal with all the fixings and a chef to talk with you about the food. This is very expensive for a NH restaurant, but worth it for a very special event. Food was excellent.

We are so glad you found the the food was excellent. Chef spends a great deal of effort sourcing locally and ensuring the absolute freshest ingredients, often times literally harvested that day. This does add to the cost structure, and we completely agree with your sentiment that it is worth it. Many of our guests tell us you just can't... More

I found the Inn here on TA and like the reviews, so decided to arrange for my husband & I to dine here & celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. NO disappointment. It was quite an experience & I definitely would return & recommend, although for special occassions only, as it is not inexpensive, but worth it. As others have commented,... More

Very romantic, great chef. Customer loyalty high. Chef explains the meal in advance, while enjoying cocktails around living room fireplace. Five courses. You spend an evening out lose track of time. You may ask for seconds. Devine.
