We were out doing a route one drive from Seabrook and wanted a late lunch. I checked reviews for five non chains & picked Al's. We ordered lobster stew & clam chowder - calamari plate & baked seafood medley . Everything tasted great and even though you order at a counter & seat yourself you still get service. Our soups... We had the fishermen's platter for 2. This is battered and deep fried, and included three small pieces of haddock, baby shrimp, 5 med./small scallops, whole belly clams, fries, and a small container of cole slaw. A lemon wedge, tar tar sauce, cocktail sauce and ketchup were served with the meal. Served on a heavy paper platter/plate with plastic flatware. You... More

We were on our way to another place because we had a craving for fried clams but my husband suggested we pull into Al's instead. The fried clams at Al's are really good and well prepared. They were fresh, clean, small, sweet, not overly battered, fried to perfection and served hot. If you're from New England or just visiting, this... More

Found this place on trip advisor. We are staying in Hampton Beach and just needed to get away from the strip which is rather expensive. This was a easy ride and the food was absolutely incredible and so reasonable. We will be back for sure!!!

Food was outstanding!! Loved the casual atmosphere and the fact that it was away from all the busy beach area. Food was super fresh and delicious. Fried oysters were the best I've ever had (I've tried a lot over the years)

IN the 6 or so years we have been going to Hampton Beach, we never ventured off the Ocean Blvd path. I wanted to get away from the noise and sit down and eat. This was a good find! You walk in through one door and order what you want at the window. They take your order and you wait... More

The food here is excellent. Fried fish is all good. Lobsters are local fresh. I personally like any of the baked or grilled fish. The seafood medly with broiled haddock, scallops and shrimp is one of my favorites. The grilled tuna is excellent. The baked haddock is very good. Haven't had a bad meal there and we go frequently. It... More

I'm a local so as much as I don't want to tell people about this restaurant, I feel compelled. We always have a great meal here, dine in or take out. Super casual, anything goes. Worth the few mile drive away from the beach. Seafood is always fresh and served hot! Service is friendly!

Had the single lobster dinner with O rings and the clam dinner with fries. Lobster was excellent and the clams were plentiful and were well washed free of sand and grittiness. Atmosphere is pleasant, with ocean decor, and this time as well as the many times I have been there previously, the other diners were focused on a jovial lunch.... More
