They weren't the best lobster rolls we had on our trip (we like our warm) but they are very generous with the amount of lobster. They have various sizes of lobster rolls and other seafood.

I wish The Beach Plum could deliver to Michigan. It's my New Hampshire family's go-to for to-go orders. This lobster roll delighted my taste buds. Chunky, not overly dressed with mayo--mostly meat. The chowders are also sublime. And lots of options for folks who want salad, full dinners or fish and chips. I look forward to visiting multiple times next... More

We were first introduced to the Beach Plum at the North Beach location years ago because we had heard about the epic lobster rolls. We are happy to be local to the Lafayette Road location when that hankering for some fried seafood and a lobster roll hits hard. My husband always gets the lobster roll (12 oz) and I always... More

They do not have super food but it is a nice place to eat and enjoy some good conversation. I would rank it higher but it is in the middle of a parking lot, But I do visit it a few times a year.

I decided a few of my friends to go get a lobster roll. We all decide to get lobster rolls. However one of us wanted a salad as well. We bought the sandwiches and set that up again to eat. Oliver my buddy waiting for results of the salad order. We all finished our sandwiches and went to the bathroom... More

Six, including three middle age children enjoyed onion rings, chicken tenders and most important Lobster Rolls. The heralded Lobster Rolls were as advertised and could be ordered in 6,8 or 12 ounce quantities, Six was enough for me.and delightful. Ice cream was also a well promoted item, but we were too full to take advantage of that and even had... More

After a recommendation we ate lunch at Beach Plum and thoroughly enjoyed what we had. Great lobster roll and the chunky lobster bisque lived up to its name. Good chowder and non seafood meals as well. Well worth the trip.

This is a fast food place with seating outside at clean & well maintained. They have a very large selection of sandwiches & burgers & seafood as well. You may have a difficult time deciding what to eat. They have a huge selection of ice cream flavors to choose from & I highly recommend it for either a meal or... More

The Beach Plum opened in 1992 at North Hampton state beach as a breakfast and lunch restaurant. The next year, a better location became available just down the street (at it's current location) and it became a take out food and ice cream stand. That original location continues to operate seasonally April - October each year. Based on strong growth in the business at that beach location, a second Beach Plum location was opened at 2800 Lafayette Road (Route 1) in Portsmouth on St Patrick's Day 2011. This Portsmouth location features an expanded menu that includes award winning fried seafood with both indoor and outside deck dining. The Portsmouth Beach Plum was featured on TV Diner in 2012 and Phantom Gourmet in 2011 which named it as a Great 8 restaurant for both it's famous lobster rolls AND fried clams. The Beach Plum is believed to be the only restaurant in New England to be so honored as 1 of the 8 best for BOTH seafood specialties. In December 2015, a new Beach Plum opened at the Brickyard Square Plaza, 24 Calef Highway (Route 125),Epping,NH. That location shares the same menu as this Portsmouth location.
