Just like it's sister restaurant in Cambridge, Friendly Toast has an extensive, creative menu; super friendly staff; and delicious food!! There are parking lots behind the restaurant and the end of the block. Expect an hour plus wait on the weekends, but it's worth the wait

This place is a trip! I always bring people here because the decor is wild. The food is always good and vegetarian and vegan friendly. It's busy so be prepared to wait a bit-it's worth it!

Went to The Friendly Toast for a late breakfast with my wife and granddaughter. The place was packed as this was Black Friday but well worth the wait (about 30 minutes). I had the Irish Benny (Benedict) with corned beef hash ($14.00). My wife had the Savory Crepes ($13.00) and my granddaughter had the Kid's Mac N Cheese ($6.00). All... More

Visited New Hampshire last summer and this place stands out. The line was long and wait time was about an hour. Hippy. But it's all worth it. Will definitely come back again next summer!

The Friendly Toast has a very eclectic menu. You can have breakfast all day, lunch, and various salads and sandwiches. All breads are homemade- but you won't find a white bread. They offer oatmeal, amadanda, cinnamon raisin.. The eggs Benedict is served on English Muffins and is AMAZING! Great sauce! My dining companions had sandwiches ( turkey club- here's where... More

We went on a busy Sunday morning and put our name in. The Toast then texts you when your table is ready so we took a nice stroll around town. Love the fun kitschy nostalgic decor. The food portions were big and tasty! I ordered the biscuit and gravy egg special. The white gravy was cooked just like down south... More

A cool fast casual type of place. Don't ask questions just get the kitchen sink quesadilla- best quesadilla I've ever had- also the weirdest. Also their coconut shrimp are incredible. Our server was not friendly at all but at least she was fast.

Skipped the line and sat at the counter. I ordered the eggs Benedict and the homemade hollandaise sauce was amazing!!! I wanted to lick my plate! I also got the cheesy grits which were perfectly cooked. My husband got the traditional breakfast plate and the house made "toast" was awesome as well. Delicious!!!

The options are amazing and there is something for everyone to choose from. The breads are amazing and everything I have ever ordered has been spectacular. Part of the fun of this place is the oddities spread around the dining room of days gone by. I do not think we have ever left a drop of food! Too good to... More

We had an amazing breakfast this morning. We bypassed the wait by sitting at the counter. The scrambles were incredible as was the fresh baked raisin toast. We will definitely go back next time we are in Portsmouth
