Good food, a friendly staff who are knowledgable of the food and the area, you feel like you are dining in a family home as you are seated in small rooms with only a few tables.

We have dined here many times and the food is usually good. Friday's lunch was not pleasant because of the loud rock music. Yes, it is a pub atmosphere -- but for lunch, the music should be mellow and suitable for dining conversation. The tables need renovation and the place is not warm and cozy. So, depends on when you... More

We've been to the Governor's Inn many times, and are always happy with the menu choices and food. It helps that the inn is a spectacular old building with antique atmosphere all around.

We went to the governors inn for dinner at their restaurant. They were very friendly. We ordered the French onion soup and Caesar salad to start and the butternut squash ravioli and steak tips for dinner. The food was good. Portions were ok but a little on the smaller side, I would of liked to see a couple more steak... More

We went for dinner here with our daughter and son in law as they had never been to dinner there. There was a show at the Opera House in town and the place was a little crazy. We all had appetizers which were delicious and came in a timely manner. We all then ordered our dinners after we completed our... More

The blackened chicken Alfredo was disappointingly bland. Not terrible, but nothing special either. Caesar salad to start was the best part of the meal. We were seated next to a large family with a very loud unruly child, and the decor is such that noise levels are echoed and amplified.

Our favorite dining place in the area. The staff is awesome, so friendly and accommodating. The food is consistently the best around with daily specials that are just as awesome as the menu items. The bar staff is great and also so accommodating with drink selections.

Wedding held outside when after the guests assembled on a tent covered patio before having the reception in the banquet room. On the picky side the lawn could have been in better condition (weather had been very warm with little rain) and the arranged chairs a little cleaner. The appetizers served by waitresses were hot and plentiful. The fruit and... More

A varied selection of specialty dishes available from sandwiches to surf and turf. There were 10 of family members in our party who chose 10 different dishes and they were all very good. All price ranges available.

We were a late, late arrival due to traffic and the front desk was very understanding. The room was nice enough but the curtains & comforter, etc. needed to be updated. The door to our room was unusual in that you couldn't lock it from the inside, although you couldn't open it from the outside. We were definitely disappointed in... More
