We went for breakfast at the buttered biscuit looking forward to wonderful biscuits. The biscuits were horrible. They were tasteless blobs of flour, baking soda and water. We were quite disappointed as we had driven an hour out of our way to come to this...restaurant. Will never come to this restaurant again.More

I’m so thrilled to have discovered this adorable, yummy and friendly spot! Great coffee and everything I sampled over 3 days was excellent. This is a popular place for locals which is always a great sign. Totally worth a wait and the counter was great...too.More

We came for breakfast, and were delighted. Delicious food and great service and portions were large. We started by sharing the Pineapple Wedge ($3.75) which was a nice way to start a breakfast meal. After coffees and orange juice, we had the breakfast burrito ($11.99)...which was far too much for one adult female to eat. We also had the "Big G" breakfast which was eggs and pork roll (very good, $8.99), and the challah French Toast ($7.99) very fresh and tasty. Their namesake, the "buttered biscuit" comes with several of the meals, which is a basically a biscuit and some homemade flavored butter. Definitely fresh, not too sweet, but plain tasting mostly... A definite come back place. Especially to sit outside. Park along the street. Lines get long so come early.More

I do love this place and the friendliness and service at this restaurant is delightful. The food is also very good, My only criticism are the biscuits, and it's a slight one. Making a GREAT biscuit is more difficult than it seems. I am a...biscuit aficionado and wish for a little less baking soda and/or baking powder added and also a little more salt. The aftertaste of soda is a bit much for my palate. Other than that everything was perfect.More

Love, love, love this place. So many great meals here, but not in over a year. Post-COVID (we hope!) they are going strong, and if anything food and service was even better than before the pandemic. My Cali Omelette was delicious, and huge, stuffed with...crab and avocado and accompanied by hash browns and a biscuit (big enough to share). My daughter got the biscuits and gravy, a favorite that has stood the test of time. My hubby has a special French toast, really yummy. Definitely a recommended place, and could not have been cleaner or safer.More

Our first time to the Buttered Biscuit, but it won't be our last. The restaurant has a home town vibe and is decorated nicely, the throw-back music track just added to the nice ambiance. We both had Dave's Homemade Corned Beef Hash. I had the...special, my wife added her own options from the menu. The hash is excellent and we both thought our meals were great. The biscuits are huge and have that homemade goodness that makes you forget how many calories you are gulping down. The portions are large and we both took home food. The waitress was also great. She provided pleasant and professional service. The menu offers a wide variety of breakfast, brunch and lunch options that we will definitely be back to sample. Indoor, outdoor and take-out. Fortunately we were here when it was not crowded, so there was no wait for in-door seating. I recommend this restaurant highly.More

The place is located on Main Street, so it's good for people watching. The service is friendly and fast. The food is incredibly good and every meal has their own special twist. The food came in five minutes. The helpings were large and the price...was very reasonable. This was easily the best breakfast we had during our visit.More

We both had omelettes which were stuffed full of the freshest ingredients, accompanied by delicious home fries. Good coffee, strong and hot, and of course wonderful, moist, light and fluffy biscuits. Great surroundings, well spaced.

My wife, son, daughter and two friends ate breakfast here in September 2020. I had flapjacks with bananas and walnuts. They were delicious. The coffee was very good as well. The others enjoyed their food. The service was very good.

Breakfast here is a must! Even though the seating outside is limited, the food is exceptional. The staff is warm and friendly!
