We had a wonderful lunch here. It was a week day special of soup, salad and entrée for an incredibly reasonable price. We both selected the avocado soup which was absolutely excellent. The salad was fresh and tasty and the entrees were delicious. We would definitely eat here again when we’re in the area.

Food was amazing. Everything authentic and delicious. I had the mango salad with orange pieces, walnuts and mango dressing. Topped it with grilled chicken. Starter was the black bean soup. The rest of our table choices were burrito, sopas, fajitas and the papaya salad. All delish. One dessert was wow (ice cream caramel drizzle over fried shells) and the other... More

We ate with 4 of our friends. Evan, the waiter, was a delight. The food was very good. We all tried different things. We will definitely return to try more.

Great place, and little alcove is very quaint and romantic...little tight though. Service was better than expected based on other review, not great, not bad. The main thing...the food was out of this world. Will definitely go back. Strange though...order a soda...and it comes in can form with glass of ice.

Good, sit-down Mexican food. Service is hit and miss. Pricey for what it is... $20-25 / person. BYOB.

We visited Frenchtown on a bright and very warm Saturday. We come to Frenchtown about once a month but had never eaten at Cocina del Sol. We sat outside along side the building and enjoyed the sun. I had recently decided to go on a diet and wanted a lunch of vegetables, rice and beans. Who else in Frenchtown would... More

I was checking out a few Frenchtown restaurants since I'm attending a wedding in Pittstown in October I need to recommend restaurants to friends/family. I stopped by Cocina del Sol on a Friday afternoon and ordered 2 entrees: a veggie burrito & Pollo en salsa verde. The food was just ok, in fact the salsa verde/tomatillo sauce was a bit... More

Having lived three years in Mexico and traveled all over the country, most of the so-called Mexican food in the USA pales by comparison. This little place offers actual Mexican dishes made by actual Mexican persons, and the difference is outstanding. The mole sauce is the real deal: spicy yet sweet, thick yet subtle. We recommend the chicken enchiladas with... More

we stopped here for lunch while bike riding, it was perfect since they had outdoor tables and we could keep an eye on the bikes. The chips and salsa were very good, I had a chicken chimichanga with verde sauce on the side, the other order was chorizo tacos. Both came with rice and beans, Very good, nothing greasy. Would... For "real" good food that happens to be Mexican cuisine. BYOB make it inviting, too! All the help are very pleasant. The only complaint would be if you order takeout on a weekend, expect it to take longer than they say. I have had to wait 20 to 40 minutes past the time I was told. But I haven't given... More
