Hoboken has a long tradition of superior bakeries. The bakery, which preceded this bakery/restaurant at this same location, was not one of these great bakeries. It produced a very commercial product (read: took a lot of short cuts). Unfortunately, the current owner continues in the mediocre heritage and bakes a mostly characterless baguette. Adding insult to injury, they overcharge and... More

First of all,I've been buying bread from the Antique Bakery for more than 10 years. When I heard it was being turned into a bar/restaurant, I was intrigued. I went there the other night with friends and was amazed to see the place ttransformed into the type of establishment that Hoboken needs more of: an upscale, stylish NYC style bar... More

The perfect day - First you wake up late on Sunday morning. Go to Fiore to buy the best mozzarella, in the whole world. While you are there pickup some of their Arthur Avenue type roasted Red Peppers-again just great. Head down south on Willow Ave. to the Antique Bakery. They have everything you need. Head home for the game... More

I've been going to Antique for years, and I'm a newcomer compared to some of the lifetime residents. There's a reason they sell out of popular breads every day. We get the stuffed breads for lots of family gatherings, stopping on the way out of town. It's VERY old school, for some reason it makes me think of Archie Bunker... More

We very often to to Antique Bakery before going to a family gathering out of town. Just stop by and get a couple of loaves of the stuffed bread. Everyone will love them. It's an old-fashioned bakery with just the basics. There's no TV show here, and zero gimmicks. It's a bakery like the ones that existed all over town... More

It took me some time until I found a place with good bread in Hoboken. The Antique Bakery is it! They have a nice selection of freshly baked bread and rolls. The prices are reasonable. They also sell a delicious olive oil - it's a bargain!

We are fortunate enough to live just 2 blocks away from this Italian Bakery. We stop here on our way home from work or on a Saturday afternoon to get some of the best fresh-baked bread we have ever had. Definitely worth it to stop in, and extremely affordable!

This is the place I go for my fresh loaf of Italian bread. Simple and great. Place has been around forever. Not a fancy bakery like Carlos on Washington St. Definitely stop in, the same old Italian man has been there forever, now he has some younger people helping him out. $1 for a small $2 for a regular, great...
