The service, as expected, was top notch. The venue itself also lived up to expectations. Unfortunately the food did not. The meal started off very nicely with multiple small shared dishes arriving at the table quickly after we sat down. The escarole and bean with pepperoni was phenomenal. The Ragu with polenta was also quite nice. From that point on... More

It was the best meal I've had any were in the world. Bring your own wine, they chill it . It's the same meal as a formal dinner in an Italian home. We tried to keep track of the the number of differrant plates they served ( estamate 22 courses. One better then the next ) It's a small home... More

15 Fox Place is a home in Jersey City, on a short, quiet block that has been converted into a restaurant. Reservations are a must, and there is only one sitting at 7:30 pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. You do not choose the menu. There is a multi-course menu served for all the guests. We were upstairs, in a... More

For $120 per person we were served the following: - 3" round and flat fried zeppole dough with tomato sauce on top - 2" long green pepper stuffed with dry bread crumbs - Potato chips with sliced hot peppers - Polenta with sausage tomato sauce (this was very good) - One mussel with garlic and bread crumbs - One 1... We enjoyed a 6 course Italian feast at a home in Jersey City. It was an experience we will never forget. The food, each and every course, was superior to any Italian dish I had ever experienced. I am still trying to figure out how they make the most wonderful polenta, which my husband and I decided was the best... More

Loved going there, we made a reservation for 4 people for Valentine's Day Dinner & when we got there they let us in this separate room, which used to be an office, and we really liked it because we had privacy and we felt like we literally were at someone's house having dinner. Speaking of which, wow…..so much food and... More

Upon a friends recommendation, we had dinner here with several other friend-couples. The place is unique since you are entering an unassuming house in the middle of an urban working class neighborhood. The home is decorated in a Victorian-classical style. You get the sense your having dinner at your grandmothers or old aunts home for the holidays. The owners are... More

This was truly an experience to remember. I never thought I would have such quality Italian food in an authentic family style manner. Everything was better than the next. Not having to think about ordering was an added bonus! The food just starts showing up! This is truly a hidden gem!

About 5 minutes from the Pulaski Skyway is a small 2 story house, cladded with aluminum siding, down a small side street, in a residential area of Jersey City that is the setting for a uniquely wonderful BYOB restaurant. As you walk up to the front door you tend to wonder if you’re at the right address. You don’t see... More

This place is amazing. We were treated to 20 courses of food that I would describe as both homemade and gourmet. It's Italian American style, but many of the dishes reach outside that cuisine. I think my favorites were homemade lemon cello, the polenta, and the mini pizzas.
