New owners. Place is still comfortable and the train set still runs. Very good food. Good service. Have eaten here many times. Will be back.

Very popular Rutgers University site. Food is great there whether at the bar of the dining room. Not at all pricey and has a nice Irish bar feel. Good menu. Many different beers on taps or bottles.

The best pub in New Brunswick. I have been going here since the late 70's. Always great food and drink. Often a line to get in but worth the wait. Reasonable priced food and drink . The best lettuce I every had for a salad . Would go back just for that ! Been going for almost 40 years and... More

Finding an established tavern in New Brunswick was perfect for us to settle in and enjoy. The Guinness and stew were perfect.

Damn! The new owners renovated, took out ALL the booths & thereby destroyed all the "Authentic PUB Character" this place had since I've been going here (1985!) The new decor is sparse, minimal and "Sports Bar-like;" complete with 3 huge flat screens playing 3 "games," behind the enormous (out of proportions, oversized & overkill new Bar!) Food (Fish N Chips,... More

When we were last there, about 7 years ago, it looked like a nice, mid to up scale pub. We were shocked walking in this time, it looked like a place that had just opened after being hit by superstorm sandy! But the burgers were first rate, although my burger which was ordered rare, came nearly medium. And the menu... More

What was once a nice old cozy pub with great food has turned into for the lack of a better word a cafeteria. The food is not bad but not as good as it once was and the service is adequate at best. I do not think I will be returning anytime soon and I work a few blocks away.

It was dark - thought I was going into a cellar but I climbed stairs! Not the most welcoming place. Very matter-of-fact - customer here I have to serve them. Steak was cooked how I required but was chewy. The train running around was the highlight.

This establishment has new owners "NewBees." The atmosphere is has been updated and spacious. The trains remain! Family restaurant. Known for their tempting menu and wedge salad. Take a drive into New Brunswick, park and enjoy. Great cheddar burger.

For decades, Tumulty's was a mainstay in New Brunswick and one of the best Pubs anywhere. After its long-time family owners retired last year, the name was kept with much of the menu. New owners renovated, keeping what they thought was best and got rid of what they thought was worst. But they destroyed the signature cozy wood booths and... More

Tumulty’s is known for providing the best value in Casual American food and drink. Our 10 Ounce Pub Burgers and Black Angus Burgers are consistently ranked among New Jersey’s Best Burgers. Our Prime Rib and New York Strip Steaks compare with entrees costing much more at other restaurants. Fresh seafood specials and vegetarian entrees provide great choices for non-meat eaters. Our downstairs room is great for private parties and meetings. We welcome Rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, holiday celebrations, cocktail parties, business meetings and seminars. Packages for dinners, buffets, hors-d’oervres and open bars are very reasonably priced.
