Friendly place to stop at for some good tasting food. Service was excellent and the portions were more that enough.

Went to dinner with hubby this past Saturday night & decided to try a new diner. We arrived around 6pm, & the diner was not all that busy, but by the time we left diner was crowded. This is a fairly large diner with tons of parking available. There is a pretty large menu with alot of dinner specials so... More

Following a movie we stopped at the Empire Diner. Both of us ordered omelets and shared crisp bacon. Overall the meal exceeded expectations. The omelets were complemented by “good” coffee. The crisp bacon was delicious and the shared chocolate chip received mixed reviews. I thought the cookie was excellent and my wife thought it was OK. And by the way... More

This place reminds me of the Jetsons food machine - think of what you want and they make it quick. Never been disappointed. Corned beef & cabbage on st Pat's day, zuppa di Pesce thats darn tasty. Excellent crab cakes, Hungarian ghoulish, Moussaka, Salmon, etc. Great place when you don't know what you want!

Somehow I have this knack for traveling down a road and picking a good place to eat. I saw this place and drove by, but as I was driving I decided that this is the place I want try. The restaurant is clean, and the menu is extensive. It is open 24 hours and serves breakfast all day. I first... More

I stopped for breakfast enroute to a business meeting. The diner was (literally) empty at 6:45am. I ordered a Swiss cheese/mushroom omelet with rye toast and had barely opened my newspaper when the waitress appeared with my order! The omelet and accompanying pile of breakfast potatoes was enormous. Coffee was decent too. The diner is brightly lit and looked to... More

A couple of times a year our small group of retirees meet for a long lunch. We all worked together for 30+ years so we try to keep in touch. We occasionally meet at the Empire diner. The food is very good and nobody is pushing us out the door. We relax enjoying our meals and spend 2 to 3... More

I'm a Florida girl, so this was new to me. A New Jersey diner with a menu that was as long as the Magna Carta. There's a lot of diner food, plus a lot of other things you wouldn't expect. I had a baked chicken dinner and it was fine. We ordered a giant cookie to go, and it was... More

We stopped at this diner on our way home from vacationing in PA. 5 guests in our party. The server had a very bad attitude. The root beer soda was flat. When I politely informed her of the flat root beer, she flippantly replied, "It all comes from the same machine." I repeated myself by saying, "But it's flat." I... More
