We went to the Penn Queen Diner and were very disappointed. The hash tasted and looked right out the can. My over easy eggs arrived with the yolks broken and cold. The wheat toast was like cardboard. My husband's grits were congealed and he barely touched them. The waitress wasn't at all welcoming and after dropping off our food, she... More

What can I say? I love Jersey diners. Food is delicious, portions are large, and the staff is always friendly

I have been coming here for 23 years. I have never been so upset with the service these days all the new servers have made me never want to come ever again. The server I had forgot my coffee she ignored me when I called for her. She sat t the table behind me for a little and talk to... More

Atmosphere is very loud, not easy to call waitress over to your table. A little sloppy. Food is good, no complaints about that. Prices are a little high though for the quantity.

It was our first visit to Penn Queen diner. It was a Sunday morning and there were some customers when we arrived, but it was nearly full by the time we finished breakfast. The server was friendly. My husband ordered a full stack of blueberry pancakes with a side order of sausage. They were light and fluffy. He took two... More

If somehow you were raised in a commune in Oregon and needed to find out in a hurry what is a "Jersey diner", I would bring you here. Classic. The usual stuff, no fancy schmancy menu. Breakfast any time. Great service. Good coffee. Killer specials. Can feed a family for say 50 bucks. A bar, if you need a cocktail... More

This place is quiet. The staff is friendly and it is very clean. The remodeled the back with new tables, chairs and booths. The food is good and it is good for all ages. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day long. The portions are large and I usually end up taking a container to go. Not pricey for... More
