Best to get small plates and share! Went with a group of girlfriends during a work trip. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the uniqueness of the menu

We had an early dinner here not so long ago. Very friendly service, felt right at home. They have delicious cocktails, try the Crimson Crush! The appetizers of the day: mine were 7 shrimps in a spicy sauce, delicious! The hubby had Salmon tartare, not bad but lacked some spices. Hubby's fried chicken was very good. I got the Swordfish.... Just a wonderful dining experience. Excellent service, very tasty food, good wine list. It's a little small and can be a bit noisy, but it's also a great place for a romantic evening
The food was perfect except for the bread pudding. I can say the steak was great, rabbit, catfish and shrimp pasta were awesome. Escargot and smartbread excellent. Yes we all sampled each others food. And eating in the cellar surrounded by all that wine. Great listing of excellent bourbons n scotch too.
Valet parking leads you to a front door greeted by gracious hosts as they open the curtain upon your arrival. The atmosphere, although cozy, is warm and good for a romantic evening out or to sit at a table with friends. The menu is limited but they do enough to cover all grounds with choices of pasta, meat, fish, chicken... More
We drove by this place weekly to go to Princeton for so many years and one day we finally tried it. This was our second time there. The menu has good variety. We ordered the sweetbread for appetizer, I knew it was some sort of inner, but not sure. It is Beef Thymus, and it was very good. We also... More
New Year's Eve dinner with my family. No problem with last minute reservation for five. On point excellent waiter. Shared plates were spicy shrimp; char grilled Cesar salad; halloumi cheese w/ drunkin figs; thick slab bacon. Entrees were varied choices great specialty cocktails.
Pricey but well worth it! Extensive menu, great food and attentive service. I had the scallops which were great. Will visit again and try more menu items!
I live in Princeton with many good choices of restaurants. One53 is one I keep going back to when I want good food, a relaxed atmosphere, great service and an excellent and reasonable wine cellar. I know it's well managed because the wait staff is mostly the same through the years - always, smart, friendly and professional. The downstairs wine... More
I have eaten here twice in the last year. Both times were great. The food is inventive and eclectic. Pricing is about expected. SErvice is good. The tables are set pretty close together (unless you are a large party and have the round table in the back), so don't plan on lots of intimate conversation. In terms of fine dining,... More
