As expected this is a very good address if you like sea food. I had the New England clam chowder: Very good! Followed by the fish cake combo with scallops, shrimps and a cranberry salad. I was surprised about the quality. Normally I do not expect that in a mall restaurant but here you get a very broad selection of... More

We had mussels and oysters as an appe and they were good. We had two entrees that were also very good. The waitress was really bad and we will not go back there gain for that. We had to ask for water twice when our glasses were empty and she only filled them 2/3 of the way full. She spilled... More

I usually don't eat at mall restaurants but this was an exceptional case. I had the garlic shrimp which was great. For an appetizer I had the fried clams which were also delicious. Service was good and the venue was not noisy.

Lobster roll was ridiculously expensive! A small plain salad... some popcorn shrimp and lobster roll was over 60$. Too much!

Food was great, server (Tina) was very nice & friendly. Food was a bit pricey, but we enjoyed it. Make a reservation rather than stand & wait. We went on a Friday night, the place was packed. Great drink menu.

I stopped here to satisfy my hankering for fried Ipswich clams on Thursday Oct. 13 in the late afternoon. They were certainly not the "full bellied Ipswich clams" that I had requested and was very much looking forward to. I should have sent them back, but decided that these were better than no clams at all. The clams were actually... More

I am here for the annual oyster festival and I must say the oyster stew is superior and fresher than a certain venue in NYC noted for their oyster stew. The oyster festival at all participating locations of Legal Sea Foods runs to the beginning of October. So if you have a chance enjoy.

We came for the Oyster specials. Downed 2 dozen assorted oysters and a bottle of Sancerre. The oysters here are always impeccable.

This is a famous chain of seafood restaurants along the East Coast and boasts a menu with a variety of seafood to suit many tastes. I've rarely been disappointed here, whether it's fish, scallops, crab or lobster. I find the crab cakes very rich but tasty, and seldom leave the restaurant felling hungry. A must for seafood buffs, but beware... More

Description
The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish. Our restaurant is located inside The Mall at Short Hills on the lower level. You may choose to beach yourself in our dining room or at our bar. Either way, we’ll think you walk on water - be sure to see our aquarium of koi fish built into the floor. Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there’s no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker. We’ve received a boatload of accolades including the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.
