The restaurant is quite lovely and the service was good. We were a large party and were allowed to linger well after we had finished eating lunch. My order of lobster mac and cheese was wanting and I found that the salad was overdressed - soggy. I've had much, much better. The others in my party seemed quite satisfied with... More

My last visit was in the last century in the summer, but this review is based on a more recent visit with folks who had been there more recently and been very reluctant to return. I was pleased; they were astounded. New chef, new menu - small plates, good variety, refurbished setting. We tried the octopus, chicken, beef and two... More

We chose this restaurant for an anniversary dinner on December 17, 2016, and we have been talking about the experience, both culinary and the setting, ever since. Our server Tara was not only knowledgeable about each item on the menu (we chose an appetizer tasting menu of six dishes) but knew the history of the Inn, the owners and chef,... More

Great prix fixe menu menu for New Years Eve with wine pairings. One course was better and more inventive than the next - with the exception of desert which while fine was not inspiring - and the wine pairing well-chosen. The setting is of course, lovely: historic building, flickering fireplace, charming river town. Good but not completely polished service from... More

Went for my girlfriends birthday, and a superb experience. Not only was the service incredible, but our waitress was knowledgeable regarding each and every item on the menu. She was very attentive, and not overbearing. We all chose to eat "tapas style", and although some on here say its limited, they are wrong. There were over 18 items to choose... More

The menu is unusual and neither my husband nor I could find an entree we wanted so we each ordered two firsts. My mushrooms on sourdough were pretty good and very very filling. My scallops (3) were tiny, way over cooked and the polenta they were sitting on was like a floor tile. There were wilted leaves on top. Not... More

My fiancee and I ate here a few years ago and loved it! We went last night with some friends and they loved it too! We all chose to eat "tapaz style" or small plates. The octopus was exquisite! The sweet potato/short rib raviolis were wonderful! My fiancee loved them more than anything else. The tenderloin was great! The service... More

About a year ago we had a wonderful dinner at the Stockton Inn. Unfortunately, that experience was not repeated this past weekend. The menu is limited and as one family member stated "weird." Tapas offerings that are fairly limited and main dishes that are expensive and arrived to our table cold. In addition, the service was terrible with a waiter... More

Tried the Stockton Inn this weekend, a place we have wanted to visit for a very long time. That makes for a high chance of a disappointing meal. As your expectations run high, the meal had better be awesome, On a sunny fall day, what a tremendous location they have outside. And what goes better with being outside, an Octoberfest... More

Look in the dictionary/or Google Inn and you will find the Stockton Inn is exactly what it is you are looking for; the quintessential American Country Inn. Just up the road from the wonderful town of Lambertville across the Delaware River from New Hope, PA. They have announced the addition of a highly regarded experienced chef. Perhaps this Saturday was... More

Description
Established in 1710, this is the inn that was immortalized by Richard Rodgers in the song "There's a small hotel with a wishing well" sung in the Broadway play On Your Toes. The inn was first built as a private residence and is believed to have been converted in 1832. Come and explore the over 300 year old Stockton Inn, nestled in the quaint borough of Stockton, New Jersey. Romantic dining is served in the exquisite mural rooms with fireside seating during the colder months. In the warmest months of the year, savor your meal and your surroundings while dining on the patio alongside two waterfalls and beautifully integrated gardens.
