I mean a sushi place at a water taxi - sounds funny, but the food was actually good. we had a quick lunch there with 5 people including a 12 year old. The prices were good, the server was friendly and the food was tasty.

This restaurant is right at the Weehawken Ferry Station on the Hudson. They have a lively and inviting bar with lots of Japanese vibe lighting and several televisions along the bar. The food and drink prices are quite reasonable, particularly in this inflationary period. I...thought that the sushi was fresh and flavorful. They also have some Chinese food style options as well. The view of the New York skyline is breathtaking when seated outdoors. I would recommend this place.More
This was a tough review for me. I am always super generous with restaurants and understand that during Covid they have been struggling and still are so I generally hate giving anything less than a 4 start rating. But because I absolutely LIVE by Tripadvisor...hotel and restaurant reviews when I travel, I have to be fair to the next traveler so here we go: 1. Got into Weehawken for a 2 day business conf & by the time I checked in it was a little to late to go out so I did Robongi Doordash to my hotel. So the fish was actually very good- I had a spicy yellowtail roll and the yellowtail was very very fresh and I'm super picky about my Himachi. I dont like crunchy tempura flaks in my rolls usually - they just get mushy and stale tasting- and the menu didnt indicate the crunch would be in the roll or I would have asked to leave it off. I also asked for avocado on the roll, but they didnt have any place for an upcharge (I'm fine paying for it but no way to do so they way they have their menu set up) and they didnt include it. That said, it was still a good roll despite the crunch. Also got an eel avocado roll and it was very very good. You should ask for 8 pieces unless you like REALLY big mouthfuls of roll. Eel and sauce were both excellent and avocado was perfectly ripe and soft and tasty. Biggest detractor from the whole meal was the Shrimp and Veg tempura. The sauce was watery and not very flavorful. I like a nice sweet rich and savory tempura sauce and this missed the mark. But worse, I'm about 90% sure their shrimp tempura was not hand battered from fresh raw shrimp. I've very familiar with foodservice brands of prepared Asian foods and almost certain these were pre-battered, frozen shrimp tempura pieces, They had that exact uniformity and thick clunky batter, and were rolled perfectly in panko and just looked and tasted frozen and mass-produced. If they had been good I wouldn't care if they were hand battered or mass, but they were just not at all good. Shrimp was dry and rubbery. Especially bad when you have had fresh shrimp tempura many many times and I was really looking forward to some New York Quality food tonight. Overall, if you are in the area and need a quick fix, it's an OK choice but stay away from tempura.More
Fast service and great food!! I’ve eaten here several times over last year while on business in NYC Metro Area.
Was visiting Weehawken NJ and went for lunch. Nice setting in the ferry terminal which you would not expect. Real nice people, clean, comfortable. It was a real restaurant. I had the beef pad Thai which was very good. My wife had the Corn Egg...Drops Soup and a fried tofu dish that she liked. Very good drinks, good bar, lots of large screen TVs for sports. It worth a visit even if not taking a ferry to NYC.More
Convenient eatery inside the Ferry Terminal, with very good Sushi and Sashimi. Prices are reasonable and the service is quite professional. The wait for our take-away food was a little longer than we requested, but this is understandable because of the peak-hour demands when we...were there.More
We stayed across the street at Residence Inn and used the Ferry to get back and forth each day and night. One night we dropped in after a ferry ride and the staff and food was great! All kinds of options from burger, ,fish and...wings to full blown sushi and they even deliver to the hotel! Food was A plus!More
Visiting in weehawken. Picked up sushi etc. Excellent corn egg drop soup. Pretty good edamame. Special rolls were very good. Fresh and tasty. Tuna, salmon, yellowtail, etc. All good.
Ordered takeout while staying at the Radison Inn across the street. The amount of food was pretty good. Taste was good and service was great. Food was delivered promptly. There's a bar onsite but we didn't stop.
Surprised by the good food at the ferry terminal. Nice setting on the Hudson. Ferries coming and going. Large menu of re as l food. General Tso’s Chicken, chicken curry with veggies, thai spice chicken, shoo mai, and some sushi rolls. Everyone enjoyed their dish....Looks like a great bar with loads of TVs. They it.More
Ordered takeaway at midtown ferry terminal and it was ready as advertised when I arrived at Port Imperial. Excellent quality takeaway at a competitive price. High quality ingredients, vegetables were fantastic
This was a first visit after walking past often for many years before/after weekend ferry rides. Several appetizers were a delicious snack on the way home from Manhattan on a recent Saturday afternoon. Garlic shrimp, shrimp tempura, and wasabi shumai (steamed pork dumplings) were very...tasty. Yakitori (grilled chicken and vegetables on skewers) was also pleasing, especially with the additional flavor of the provided sauces (though it was only the chicken on the skewer with the broccoli on the side). Broccoli served with various items was crisp. Service was prompt, friendly, attentive, nicely conversational, and professional.More
Just had some take out. Miso soup and seaweed salads were very good. Salmon teriyaki was good, spicy tuna roll was good. We had several dishes for 6 people. Everything was good but not great.
Everything I could ever want. Sushi is always fresh and delicious. No matter what you order it is made with care and always comes above and beyond your expectations.
If you like the ambiance of a busy ferry terminal, you may be a starving commuter. The bar is convenient for those awaiting a boat, or returning from work for a happy hour libation, but the sushi is sub-par and gives the Hoboken location a...bad name. I'll stick to Robongi Hoboken TYVM.More
