Cafe Des Arts is a laid-back charming restaurant with food of good quality! It is not innovative and sophisticated but good honest food and well-prepared!

Great place for a slightly more casual meal than many of the other places in Franschoek. Delicious food, good service, definately would return.

I went with others who knew and liked the restaurant and enjoyed a good, simple meal. Sitting outside on a pleasant evening with decent wine and good company was a delight. I had Lasagna, it was well prepared and most enjoyable.

This is a great little restaurant with no pretensions. It delivers a fairly small menu which can change daily, beautifully executed. Service is also very good.

We were recommended this place by our hotel but it really was poor. There is a very limited menu which is on a chalk board. My wife and I chose different starters and main courses so we covered half the menu! None of it was up to the standard I would have expected, the service was fine and the restaurant... More

We took friends there for a special occasion. The food was good and tasty but the hikes on the wines really exorbitant. It's understandable that restaurants charge you more for a bottle of wine, but to hike the price from R32.99 in the supermarket to R115 per bottle seems just not kosher. If you pay in euros it's okay, but Franschhoek seems to have... Luckily we booked a table as the place was full and unfortunately people were turned away. We ordered a glass of house white to start with which was so good that we decided to go with a bottle of the house red - a full bodied shiraz which was equally as good - the owners here know their wines! Service... More

This charming restaurant serves lovely food and offers excellent service. It is tucked away behind the main street and probably has to try that bit harder and it certainly shows.
